Wearable Festive Christmas Makeup

Today I decided to do a wearable makeup look that you can wear on Christmas or just around the holiday, but of course you can wear this all year round. But I lean this more toward Christmas since Xmas is just right around the corner and the statement colors are green and red. This is actually something that I actually would wear on Christmas, since I am a makeup girl. In this blog post I'll be using both drugstore and high end products. And you do not have to use the exact same products I use, the products are really dupable.

Before Step 1: What I would recommend you doing VERY FIRST is to make sure your lips are exfoliated and moisturized with a lip balm, chapstick or vaseline. This is so that by the time we are done with the eyes and cheeks the moisture will already be in your lips, so the lip colors we will be putting on first will have a nice moisturize base not a slippery base.

Eyes:
1.) Start off by priming your lids, inner corner and lower lashline with your favorite eyeshadow primer or a concealer, I am using the ELF Eyelid Primer.

2.) Then, you are going to take "Tibet" Shimmer Eyeshadow by NARS or just any shimmery white eyeshadow with a fluffy blending brush and you are going to apply that all over your lids into the crease and up onto the brow bone.

3.) With the same fluffy blending brush you are going to take "Mink" single eyshadow by Covergirl or just any shimmery champagney light brown color. And you are going to apply that into your crease really really messy and just kind of blend it down toward your lashline and you want to bring it fairly high as well. This will just act as a nice transitional crease color, it is not at all a loud color by any mean.

4.) After that, take a smaller blending crease brush maybe not too fluffy and you want to take any golden brown color "Tempting" by MAC will be really great. But I am taking Inglot eyeshadow in the number "406" and just apply that into your crease and bring it about half way into the crease and the outer corner. We don't want it too be too dark for the shadows, because we are going for more the settle elegant eye look.

5.) Then, take any green eyeshadow I am using "Palm" from the Stila Fabulous In Fiji Travel Palette and wet it on an angle eyeshadow brush. Just apply it to your upper lash line. This is going to act as a base for the green liner we are going to apply afterward.

6.) Now take any glittery green liquid liner I am using the NYX Glitter Liner in "Jade" it is just a really nice glittery green liner. For NYX if you want to try their glittery liners find the ones with the tossle, the other kind that they have without the tossle is crap in my opinion. So what you want to do with the glittery liner is to make a really long thick wing liner than you want to wait to be completely dry than go over it again, because we want it to be the main focus of the eyes. So we want it to be really vibrate.

7.) Now for the liners, you want to line about 1/3 of the way in on your lower waterline with your favorite eye liner. I am using Sephora Smoky Kohl Eyeliner in "Black".Than, you want to do the rest of your inner lower waterline with a green liner and I am using the Styli-Style Eye-Line & Seal Eyeliners in Green Scene 132. You can find Styli-Style at Walgreens.

8.) Than, with a small brush I am using a really small concealer brush take a matte black eyeshadow I recommend using the Sugarpill Cosmetics Pressed Eyeshadow in "Bulletproof". It is literally one of the best matte black eyeshadow ever, so I'll be using that. So just take it  and smudge out the black liner on your lower waterline.

9.) Lastly, for the eyeshadow take a irrediscent gold eyeshadow color and I am using the yellowish gold one from the Naked Cosmetics Ivory Collection which is "IV-04". So just highlight that in your inner corner and on your brow bones just to slightly highlight it.

10.) The last final steps are and you know the drill curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara.

Cheeks:
1.) Make sure you have a really nice warm glow to your face, so I am going to just bronze my face and give it a bit of glow with the NARS Bronzer "Laguna". I wouldn't recommend going with a matte bronzer, since we want a nice warm GLOW not a contour. But it is all up to you, this is just what I do and what I recommend people to do.

2.) The last step for you cheek is to apply NARS Multiple in "South Beach" which is a shimmery apricot so it give you both the cheek color and the highlight on your cheeks.

Lips:
1.) For the holidays, I like to go bold on my lips but I still want to look fancy and elegant so I am going to apply the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in "Dragon Girl" which is a siren red on my lips or just any red lip pencil will do it justice.

2.) Than, you want to apply a red lipstick on top I am using the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in "645 Red Revival" since it goes with the siren red theme.

And that is all to the look, it is super gorgeous, elegant, wearable and fancy. I don't think that it is at all over top for Christmas or just any holidays you celebrate. If you do do this look feel free to send me a picture of you to my twitter which is http://www.twitter.com/sushiflower21 . That is all I have to say and I'll talk to you later in my next blog post.

How To Tips & Tricks: Dry Your Nail Polishes Faster

Since, my mom is a cosmetologist I've learned this trick a few years back and that is how to dry nail polishes faster. I know that not many of people know about this trick and it may seem weird if you've never heard of it before, but I've found that it is a very rare trick that people don't really do. But I promise you it is super easy and you won't regret doing it. And that is using the cold water or ice cube trick to dry your nail faster. It might not make any sense, but I swear to god that it actually works really well. Plus, it is really easy to do and I am sure that everyone have the materials and can all do this, you just have to have patience and you'll know what I mean.

Steps:
1.) All you need is just a bowl or glass or cup of ice cold water or water filled with 2-3 ice cubes. This is because the cold water temperature will help dry your nails a lot faster. Don't worry your nails won't get ruin. And I would recommend doing this step before you do your nails, because your nails can be ruin if you do it after you gave your nails a manicure. You can also do this trick if you have a pedicure.

2.) After, you've done your nails make sure you've done everything that you wanted to be done. So put on your top coat and just everything that you need to do after you do your nails. Than, wait for your nails to get kind of tacky or just wait for about a minute for the actual step.

3.) The last step, is to just dip your nails into the bowl/glass/cup or just whatever you have and wait for at least 60 seconds. I would recommend going as long as you can, because it will be a lot better than the 60 seconds.

4.) Enjoyed your new dried manicure nails.

This trick as you can tell is super cheap, easy and everyone can do it. If you've tried it tell me below if it works for you, because it should works for everyone.

My Bad Beauty Habits

I'm up for another blog post for the day and this one I found to be really interesting, because I feel like since I am so into beauty I shouldn't be having any bad beauty habits. So this blog post will be about my beauty habits that I've found to be bad as far as I know and realize that it's bad. And in one or two months from now I'll be back to tell you guys if I've broke it or if I still do it. So I'll try my best to break it, which I probably won't be able to break all of it but that's okay.

1.) Rubbing my Eyes- I am one of those girls that just love to rub her eyes when she woke up or if it's itchy or if I just feel something uncomfortable in my eyes. And please guys do do do not do this, this will really cause premature wrinkles and age your skin by a bajillion time. So I am trying my hardest to break this one off, I would say that this is the number one dangerous beauty habits I have along with the next one I am going to address.

2.) Protecting my feet, hands and neck- I am really good with apply sunscreen or just a lotion with at least SPF 15 or higher to my body. But what I am really bad at is applying it to my feet, hands and the back of my neck. I just feel so lazy to apply it to those areas, but I am really good with applying it my stomach, arms, legs and just the rest of my body. And this is also really bad because your feet, hands and the back of your neck is where the sun hits the most and one of the first places to show signs of aging. And I am only 18 years old, so I do do not want to my premature wrinkles.

3.) Touching My Face- We have lots of oils and bacterias on our hands so touching your face throughout the day is really bad. It can cause you to break out, because the oils and bacterias on your hand transfers and is touching your face which can cause to break outs. And I sometime just touch my face without even noticing or if it is really itchy or I like to rest my face on my hand sometime. It's bad but it's not as bad as the first two I've addressed.

4.) Teasing/Backcombing my Hair- I am also one of those girls that really want volume at the roots of my hair, so I 90% of the time backcomb or tease my hair when I go outside. This is also really bad, because my hairstylist told me that it is as bad as you dye your hair. But it is just really hard for me to break it off, so I might only backcomb it on special occasion or just a bit because when I backcomb I really backcomb. And it is the same thing as teasing your hair it's just another word for it.

5.) Putting my Hair up in a Rubberband- This one some of you might not think of or think that it is band, but that is putting my hair up in a regular rubberband. This one is really bad, because you are actually tugging and pulling your hair with the rubberband. And it also can leave a bump and it is really hard to get rid of it once you get it. But I don't really put my hair up only if I HAVE to or when I exercise. There is this trick where a lot of hairstylists use and that is using a hair bungee. You can buy packs of these at the beauty supply store or you can create one your own. And it is so much better to put your hair up in a ponytail and plus it does not leave a dent in your hair. But I feel like it just take so much time to use it, so I go the easy way which is using a regular rubberband. And I would recommend using a rubberband that doesn't have those metals things on it, because that will even pull and tug on your hair even more.

6.) Washing my Pillow Cases- I love sleeping and sometime I even sleep with my makeup on, but it is only for like an hour during the day as a nap. But I never sleep my with makeup on for the whole night or for a really long time, because that's just torture for my skin. But it is still bad so I still need to break that off, but sometime my makeup can get onto the pillow cases and I do have to admit that I don't wash my pillow cases that often. I just really lazy to wash it or I just sometime forget. So I really need to start washing it every week from now on and it is best if you sleep on a satin pillow case because it doesn't collect as much bacteria than if it wasn't satin. But I sleep on a satin pillow case so I am fine with that.

7.) Braiding my Hair- I sometime don't feel like doing my hair. So when I take a shower at night I get my hair wet and than I wait for it to be about 85% dry and I just start braiding it to get it ready for the next day. This is so bad for your hair, because it is just bad to style your hair when it is wet or damp or just when it is not completely 100% dry. But I don't do it everyday, I only do it maybe 3-4 times a week. Which is still bad, so I need to break that off. But I probably will excuse if I do it 1-2 times a month, but 3-4 times a week is just not an excuse.

8.) Sleeping with hairspray on- When I curl my hair and than when I get home I sometime would just go to bed and sleep or just take a nap or rest and this is also bad, because the hairspray might touch my face which can cause it to break out. And I literally use hairspray on my hair every single day, which isn't bad but sleeping in it is just bad. So I wouldn't recommend anyone to do this.

9.) Painting my Nails- If you didn't know you should not be painting your nails everyday. Because you should give it time to breathe and have nothing on it. But since I am a nail girl, I have nail polishes on my nails everytime. So I would take it off than right away I would put nail polish on again. And I would suggest to give your nails at least a full 24 hours of rest straight. And I sometime do give it a full 24 hours of rest, but I don't do it every week. So I am going to start doing it every week.

10.) Sleeping on Wet Hair- Sleeping on your hair when it is not 100% dry is really bad. It will damage and ruin your hair. I also don't do this every day just like a few other of my bad beauty habits, but I just want to never ever do it again. That's why I'm listing it here in this post. So I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this.

That's all the bad beauty habits that I've found so far as of right now, but I probably have more but I just couldn't think of it. So if I think of more I will update you guys on that and follow my blog to see what habits I've break and what habits I still do.

Online Shopping Haul: shopcoobie, bornprettystore and shopbop

Today, I'll be doing another haul it is kind of everything beauty related. I ordered all of these online with my own money and some just came in today and other just came in 2 days ago. So this is not a Black Friday haul so you won't be mistaken. I'll be doing a separate one for that probably when I get everything in, because I went to some stores and I also ordered some online so obviously I want to do all of them together and they haven't arrived yet. Expect a huge haul coming soon, but between those I'll be doing other blog posts.

Shopcoobie.com: I'll just go ahead and get start with shopcoobie just to get it out of the way. Today I've received a box of some bras that I had ordered from shopcoobie.com and I've tried all of them on and I actually really liked it. I have heard of this website/brand from one of Ingrid aka missglamorazzi video. So the bras that I ordered are three of the "Coobie Bandeau" in White, Ivory and Island Blue. And one thing that I like about these shopcoobie bras are that you can exercise in them without having to wear a separate bra underneath. So they have padded cushion inside already and it is super comfortable. And the last kind that I purchase is the "Coobie Bra Scoopneck Full Size" in the shades Lilac and Calypso Coral. Also, one little other confession that I have to admit is that I kind of love collecting bras. Which, is really weird since I don't really know anyone that collect bras. But that is one of my other obsession beside makeup and nail polishes. But I don't just collect them for the sake of collecting them, I make sure that I like them and they fit me.

Bornprettystore.com: This next site I was introduced about 4-5 weeks ago I think by another YouTube beauty guru and her name is Brooke or sayanythingbr00ke. So I trusted her and took her advice so I ordered somethings from the bornprettystore.com and I'll just get right into it.

1.) 10 pcs Hello Kitty Nail Art Plates Per Day- The first thing that caught my eye from the site was the Hello Kitty Nail Art Plate in M71. They are like the knockoff version for the Konad nail art plates which if you didn't know already I absolutely love, I probably has over 10 of the Konad plates. And I don't have anything like this already so I just had to get it.

2.) Professional Makeup Cosmetic Protection Loose Powder Puff Sponge- I don't have any off those makeup powder puff sponges for like loose powders or touch ups, so I just got 2 of them. Which, I know some people maybe against since they said that they collect bacteria. But I probably will only use it for touch ups. So I purchase 2 of those and they were onyl $2.03 each so really cheap.

3.) Deluxe Austria Crystal Four Leaf Clover Pattern Brooch Pin- I also had to get the brooch they had. It was just too adorable to forget about and it was really inexpensive too for a nice brooch. And that was the last thing I purchase at bornprettystore.

Shopbop.com: If you guys don't know what shopbop.com is basically, it is just a site that sells designer stuff for a discount. So I would recommend checking them out for good deals.

1.) MINKPINK Line Up Striped Layered Tank in Blue/White- This shirt was on the 70% off part and it was ONLY $18. That is like really cheap for a designer product and shopbop and not to mention that it was super cute, so I just had to get it.

2.) Enza Costa Oversized Cardigan in Navy Sailor Stripe- The stripes trend are really in this fall and winter, so the next clothing item that I got from shopbop is really unique it is a LONG cardigan that goes all the way to the ankles. I have nothing like this at all in my closet and I am a fashion girl, so that says alot about this cardigan it is very unique. So for $65 it was totally worth it, as far as I remember it was also on the 70% off part of shopbop.

3.) Milly Siennea Belted Cape in Midnight/Gold- Capes are really in this fall and winter and they are already in right now. I've seen many celebrities, models and even Girls' Generation(SNSD) rocking the cape trend this fall and winter. So I decided to invest in this really nice quality Milly Siennea cape. It is super cute and fit me really well. And if you are wondering I am in size 6 for it, I am really tall and really skinny but not anorexic skinny so don't think that I have a eating disorder. I just have really high metabolism. And I cannot to wear this a lot for years.

4.) J Brand Leather Skinny Pant in Red- I was there originally looking for a leather jacket, but I didn't really like any of the leather jackets that they had so I just went ahead and bought a leather pant instead. Now I love leather pants, but I only have two and they're both black. So I bought a red one from the brand J Brand and it is suppose to be really in. Since leather are really in and colored pants are also the trend for fall and winter so I am also really excited to wear this leather pants. I think that they would look great with the cape I got or boots that hit right below your knees. And that is the last thing that I ordered from shopbop and it was $896 but it was totally worth it, I can tell that I am going to get a lot of uses out of it before it wears out. But it probably won't be until maybe 3-5 years from now, so until than I'll probably get like tons of uses out of it.

And that is all the things that I ordered from the online stores I had recently shopped at. Hope you all enjoyed it!

Holiday Gifts Ideas for Girls

Just sitting on my bed enjoying the night, I manage to get another blog post up for the day. I might get another one up as well later on, but I'm not sure. So I'll have to see and look into that, but I cannot believe that Black Friday is less than 3 hours away. I'll definitely be doing some major shopping online and at stores.

Anyhow, Christmas is right around the corner for everyone, which means presents and gifts time. And even if you don't celebrate Christmas this blog posts will still be great if you are looking for gift ideas for girls. Now I wouldn't say that all girls would like this. This is just girls that similar to me. It is more to girls that love makeup, beauty, fashion, movies, books etc. And this is something that I would actually give to someone as a present and gift.

Gifts Ideas:
1.) Makeup Palettes/Sets- For the holidays, as a gift I know that as a girl I love getting makeup palettes or sets as a present. So I would say to invest in a good palette for the person that you care about. You can find a lot of makeup palettes and sets around the holidays right now at stores like Sephora, Ulta and even Target. I would recommend checking out BH Cosmetics, Pixi and Urban Decay for great palettes or sets.

2.) Brush Sets- To continue, with the makeup theme part of this blog post getting nice brush sets is also great. A lot of different companies have amazing brush sets for amazing deals, I would suggest to check out Sigma Makeup.

3.) Gift Cards- Every Christmas I've received tons of gift cards from my relatives and friends to many stores. I especially love gift cards to the movies, Sephora, MAC, Target, Forever21 and just all of those fun girly stores.

4.) Boots- I also have received and would actually give boots to people. My favorite kind of boots are leather boots that hits just right below the knees or just any other shoes will work. So I would recommend to maybe ask a person that know the girl you want to buy the shoe to what shoe size she wears. This way she won't know what she will be receiving for Christmas.

5.) Clothes/PJs- Every year my parents would always buy me a pair of new pajamas from department stores like JcPenney or stores like Victoria's Secret and I love it. Also, just getting clothes overall is great and I love it.

6.) Perfumes/Body Splash/Body Mist/Body Spray- Also, every year I have received at least one perfume, body splash, body mist or body spray. Last year, I had received the Escada Magnetism Perfume for Women in the 1.7 oz one and I loved it. Sadly though it has been discontinued, so I am trying to use it sparingly.

7.) Bags/Purses- I sometime give bags or purses to my relatives or friends. And I've alway received a few bags for a few of my past Christmas. I always feel so greatful and thankful when I do. So I recommend getting her a purse that you think she will like and that fits her style. I personally love satchels the most.

8.) Accessories/Jewelries- As a remember piece for the Christmas, I'd say to buy her accessory(ies) or really nice jewelry(ies). Or even get her an expensive watch or charm bracelet or even a locket necklace, so she can put a picture inside it. So I would recommend going for accessories and jewelries if you are stuck, because you can never go wrong with it. I also love scarves, which I guess is a type of accessories and even sunglasses would be great.

9.) Makeup Bag/Set- If she is really into makeup like me, I would say to go ahead and buy her a makeup bag or makeup bags set that would beest suit her personality and style. I would recommend to check out http://shopglitzyglam.com/ they have great little gifts and products that would be great as gifts or stocking stuffers. One of my favorite from the website are the keychains, they are absolutely adorable and no glitzyglam is not sponsoring me to mention them in this post.

10.) Hair- I would recommend giving her some little cute pieces of hair accessories if she love doing her hair. So I would say to get her some pack of hair ties, bobbi pins, clips, brushes, combs, bows or even some heat styling tools. It would make a really great Christmas presents.

11.) Books- Not only am I a makeup, beauty and fashion girl but I am also a bookworm girl if that makes any sense. So every Christmas I always received 3-7 books and they all ranges from different generes. But my favorite kind of books to read are vampires, European historical fiction and just really good novels overall. Chic flick is also one of my favorite genre of books to read.

12.) Movies- And of course we cannot forget about the movies. If the girl you are planning to give presents to doesn't like reading books, try movies instead. It's a great alternative. So try to figure out what kind of movies she like. Most girls including me love chic flick, romance and scary movies. But I wouldn't say to go too scary, since it's a Christmas present we don't want it to be dark. Although, it is all up to you and the receiver of the present(s).

13.) CDs/Albums- I absolutely love K-Pop so I love getting K-Pop albums as a gift. But get her some CDs and albums that you think she would really like. Try to find one that best suits her taste.

14.) Another suggestion- I almost forgot about this last suggestions and I was like how could I get it and it is nail polishes. Get her nail polishes sets or just a few great quality polishes IF she is into doing her nails. So even getting her some nail tools that would be great.
Hopefully, one of these holiday gifts ideas inspires you on what to get for the receiving girl.

TAG: 40 Beauty Questions

So, a while ago I was just watching "carahamelie03"(from youtube) takes on the 40 beauty questions tag. And I would have to say that I 99% agree with what she says. So if my answers are a bit similar to hers, that's why. But she just made me want to do get this tag up as soon as possible. So basically, there are two sections to it the first part is the skincare questions and the second part is the makeup questions. I'm going to stop rambling and just get onto the questions.

SKINCARE:
-How many times do you wash your face daily?
I wash my face 2 times daily. I don't wash less or really more than this. Although, I have oily skin if I wash it more than 2 times a day it would become dry and I cannot stand dry skin. I rather have oily skin, so I'm happy with oily skin. But if I only wash my face 1 time a day, I feel nasty.

-What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
I have combination skin of oily combination. So I get really oily in my t-zone and not too oily or dry on my cheeks and the rest of my face.

-What is your current facial wash?
If you've read my latest blog post about my evening skincare routine, than you'll know that I am currently using the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Once-Step Facial Cleanser. I love that cleanser, but I do change my skincare routine every 2-3 months. So in January or December I'll probably be using another cleanser. And I have not gotten up my morning version of it, so I'll try to get it up as soon as I can.

-Do you exfoliate?
I do exfoliate my skin, but I don't use an exfoliator. So if you've read my evening skincare routine, you'll know why.

-What brand do you use?
What I use instead of a scrub or beads to exfoliate my skin is that I use the Clarisonic Mia. And I use it everyday along with the Philosophy cleanser.

-What moisturizer do you use?
Well, I use two different moisturizers. I use a different one for the morning and a different one for the night. But for the evening/night I use the Clinique Acne Solution Clearing Moisturizer Oil-Free. But I use another serum before this so check out my evening skincare routine blog post if you haven't to read more about my skincare routine. For the morning, I want something with SPF so I use the Clean & Clear Finished Pore Perfecting Moisturizer Oil-Free SPF 15. It is only $7.49 at the drugstore so a lot cheaper than my nigh moisturizer and it works great.

-Do you have freckles?
No, I do not have freckles and this was kind of a weird random question.

-Do you use eye cream?
Yes, I do use an eye cream and I'm pretty sure you all know about it, since I talk about it in almost every single of my blog posts. I use the Clinique All About Eyes Rich (tout pur les yeux riche) morning and night.

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Yes, I do have and had have acne prone skin. But my skin has improved tremendously over the last year because of my skincare routines. So now I don't have acne, but my skin is still prone to it if I cam careless about my skin.

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
I have had used Pro-activ during my first 3 high school years. And it was amazing, it had done great things to my skin. It really did improve my skin a lot.

MAKE-UP:
-What foundation do you use?
I use a liquid foundation, but I use all type of foundations. I actually have even used BB Cream and tinted moisturizers, I have a ton in my makeup collection. But the foundation I have been using and loving this month is the Clarins Extra-Firming Foundation SPF 15 in the shade 104 Cream. I have never really heard of anyone talk about it before, but it is an amazing foundation. You can read more about in my winter face makeup routine blog post.

-How about concealer?
Currently, I am using 2 concealers one for my eyes and one for my face. For my eyes, I use the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller. I love this product, I have been using it since August of this year and I love it. For my face, I use the NARS Stick Concealer in Vanilla. I've had this concealer for quite sometime now, but I just rediscovered it this month and I love it so so much.

-Do you know your undertone color?
Yes, my undertone is definitely both warm and cool undertone. I can really use a warm undertone foundation and it will still work for me and even if I use a cool undertone foundaiton it will still match my skin. So my skin is in the between, I look in both cool and warm colors.

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I think that they are amazing and fun, but sadly I don't wear them everyday. I love them and how they look, but I really only wear them if I am going out or on special occasions. Other than that I don't wear them on a regular basis.

-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes, I do know that. Which was like last year, because before that I always thought that you were suppose to change your mascara every 6 months. I never thought that it was 3 months that you were suppose to change it, until I took a little makeup class during spring time last year.

-What brand of mascara do you use?
I use all brand of mascaras ranging from Covergirl to Lancome, but my current and all time favorite mascara is the FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara. It is a Japanese mascara, but you can find it here as well not only in Asia.

-Sephora or MAC?
This was a really hard question, but I would have to agree with carahamelie03. I can't really choose, since there are definite products that MAC has and is fantastic, but MAC also has products that doesn't really stand out. And same thing goes with Sephora brands. All of the brands definitely has downfalls and definitely have products that stand out.

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No, I do not have a MAC Pro-card which is weird since I love makeup from the bottom of my heart. But my mom does since she is a cosmetologist.

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
I obviously uses brushes, eyelash curls and sometime sponges.

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes, I do. I actually have a ton of makeup base/primers for my eyes. My favorite would have to be the Too Faced Shadow Insurance and the NARS eyeshadow primer.

-For the face?
For the face, I love the MAC ones and Smashbox Photofinish Light Foundation Primer. But currently, I am using the Laura Geller Spackle Under Makeup Primer Original and it works just as well.

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
This one is a really hard one, if you have read any of my old blog posts; than you'll know that my all time favorite MAC eyeshadow is Sushi Flower. But my favorite makeup brand is NARS, which kind of make the NARS eyeshadow my favorite. But I guess my favorite eyeshadow is the NARS Shimmery Single Eyeshadow in California. I love how you can wear this color all year round and it would still fit in the trends.

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I use both pencil and liquid eyeliners. But I would say that I use pencil just a tad bit more.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
I am really good and careful at apply my eyeliners with a pencil liner, so I rarely poke my eyes. So I would say that I would poke myself at least 2 times a year.

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I think that pigment shadows are really unique and fun.

-Do you use mineral makeup?
I don't really use mineral makeup, but I do from time to time. I know that Bare Minerals is a really well known mineral makeup company along with a few Maybelline mineral products.

-What is your favorite lipstick?
I don't really have a favorite lipstick since I like to change out my lip color everyday. And if you follow me on twitter than you would know this already. I just love experiencing different colors and products on my lips. But my favorite lipstick would have to be NARS Semi Matte Lipstick in Transeurope Express. It is a deep pink rose color, so very unique. And it is one of those color that I can wear all year round.

-How about lipgloss?
Definitely hands down NARS Larger Than Life Lipgloss in Coeur Sucre. It is aa shimmery bright pink color. I love the quality and pigmentation of these lipglosses. I love shimmery glosses because I feel like they make my lips so much bigger and a bright color just brighten up my face.

-What is your favorite blush to use?
My current favorite blush is the Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine. But my all time favorite is the NARS Cream Blush in Penny Lane.

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
No I do not buy my makeup on ebay, but I would say that I have had in the past and I had no problems with it. They were all real and not a scam. But I was really careful at the time. But I usually go to trustful site or stores to buy my makeup.

-Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yes, I love drugstores makeup. But I would say that I love department higher end makeup a bit more.

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
Absolutely, I think I've gone to the CCO probably 5-7 times so far.

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
Yes, I have consider and still does. And I have took a few makeup classes in the past.

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
No, I wouldn't say that I am clumsy. I am really careful and good at putting on makeup, if I do say so.

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Okay, so I actually have two makeup crimes that I TOTALLY hate. But my number hate makeup crime are when people put blushes RIGHT on their apples. I mean that is just freaking ugly, give your face no dimension and make you look like a clown especially if you wear a bright color and when they don't blend it out. I remember when I was in high school their is always this girl that sits behind me in math class and she just have a bright pink blush just on the apple of her cheeks without any blending. And my next one are when people don't prime their lower lash lines. I see tons of makeup gurus on YouTube just priming their upper lids and inner corner, but not their lower lash lines. And they than put shadows and liners on their lower lash lines and how are they going to expect their shadows and liners to last all day long? It just bothers me when people does this.

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I love colorful shades of makeup more, but on a regular basis I wear neutral ones on my eyes. And as on my lips I go both colorful, dark, bold and nudes.

-Which celebrity always has great make up?
I don't really pay attention to celebrities makeup, but I always notice that Girls' Generation always have great makeup on. Their makeup are always really natural and make them pop and brighten up so much.

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
I definitely say concealer, because my number one priority for makeup is to first have great skin. Than you can worry on about your eyes, cheeks and lips.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Of course, maybe 2-3 days out of a week I just go outside usually just having a lip balm and moisturizer.

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I don't think that I look wow great, but I don't think that I look absolutely horrible either. So I am not sure about how I should answer this one, but I would say that I prefer myself with makeup on. I mean who doesn't, right?

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
Definitely, NARS duh? As I've said before, I'll say it again NARS is my all time favorite makeup brand. About 99% of the time their products never bbrings me down.

-What do you think of Makeup??
I think that makeup is fun and awesome. I love it. I love to experience with it.

Hope you all enjoyed it!

My 2011 Thanksgiving Makeup Look + Hairstyles suggestions

I know that this blog post is going up a bit late, but if you've follow me on twitter than you would know why. Anyway, so when I think of Thanksgiving makeup I think of gold, oranges and warm browns eyeshadows and either a bold lip or a light nude lip. And just really nice light cheeks and the eyeshadows I use in this tutorial are really dupable and you can easily find them and some are really inexpensive. So this is what I will be wearing later on today and I also have some hairstyles suggestions. I also use a wide range of brands, so just check it out if you are curious.

Eyes:
1.) Start off by priming your eyes and just basically where we will be putting shadows, which are your lids, lower lash line and inner corner. The eye primer I will be using is Urban Decay Primer Potion in Greed, but any will work or you can use a concealer or liquid foundation.

2.) Now just take Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow Quad in Not Just Nudes and take the third darkest color or the third color to the right and apply a very light coat of that just on your lids.

3.) Than, take a fluffy shadow brush with Maybelline single eyeshadow in Champagne Fizz and just apply it all over your lids. It is just a shimmery champagne color.

4.) Than take NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow pencil in Milk and apply that into your inner corner and just a bit right underneath your brow bone. Than on top of that just take a small highlighting brush with MAC eyeshadow in Blanc Type and just apply it over the Milk jumbo shadow pencil.

5.) And now take the same fluffy shadow brush we used for Champagne Fizz on the same side take MAC eyeshadow in Ricepaper and just apply that over the Champagne Fizz.

6.) You can also just stop right here and continue on with the rest of your makeup and it will still look great, but for me I just like to go beyond. So I'm going to take a crease brush with NARS Single eyeshadow in Cairo and apply that into your crease, stopping about 1/3 of the way in. Cairo is just a champagney plumish brown color and it is definitely one of my favorite eyeshadow of all time.

7.) Now take a small pencil brush with Urban Decay eyeshadow in Darkhorse and place that into your outer corner and lightly onto the lower lashline. And I would stop about 1/3 of the way in.

8.) Than just take a fluffy blending brush and blend out everything.

9.) For Thanksgiving I just love looking fresh and light, so I'm just going to apply MAC Fascinating Eye Kohl to my lower waterline.

10.) Finally, for the last step for the eye makeup curl your lashes and apply a coat of your favorite mascara or mascaras. Mine currently and my all time favorite mascara is the FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara.

Cheeks:
1.) The first step I recommend doing to warm up your complexion. So you any bronzer that works for you and just apply that in the 3E motions with a big powder brush. My favorite is the Benefit Hoola Bronzer and the NYC Sunny Bronzing Face Powder. We are not going to really contour, but we are going to warm up our complexion.

2.) The second step for the cheeks is to take any blush brush and take MAC Blush in "Dame" and apply that to the back of your apply and up to your temple.

3.) Now the last step for the cheeks is to go back in with your Maybelline single eyeshadow in Champagne Fizz and take a bit of it on your ring finger and apply that to the top of both of your cheekbones.

Lips:
1.) Now for the fun part it is the lips and for Thanksgiving I love having either bold lips or more tone down lips, but first take a lip balm and apply it to your lips. I am taking EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet, because we can't forget about that. I am like obsess with it right now, I literally apply it everyday since I got in early November.

2.) So now if you want to achieve a bold lip, I recommend applying Burberry Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick in Bright Plum. You can definitely build this color up to tone it down a bit, but I am a makeup girl so I definitely go bold with this lipstick. I would suggest going for a red lipstick, because I feel that that is more Christmasy. But if you want to go red, I would say to rock it!

3.) For the more tone down lips, take MAC Boldly Bare lip liner and apply in onto your lips. On top of that, take MAC lipstick in Jubilee and apply that over the Boldly Bare lip liner. I love Jubilee, because it is a nude color but it still give you some color and it doesn't make you look dead. It also make your lips kind of glossy, when you don't have any gloss on.

And that is what I will be wearing for my Thanksgiving party/feast/dinner later on today. I think I will be going for the bold lip this year, because last year I went for the more tone down one.

Hairstyles:

For hair, I recommend to go with something more fancy and elegant. So I recommend curling it and putting it in a side bun or just curl your hair overall, or something like that. You can definitely search for some Thanksgiving hair tutorial or just fancy and elegant hairstyles overall. So I'll be listing a few of my favorite hairstyles that I've came across on YouTube and these are in no particular order.

And yes, my favorite hair tutorial gurus on Youtube would have to be carahamelie03 by far. She is a professional hair dresser, so I've took a lot of her advices and tips and techniques a lot. She have great hairstyles, amazing tutorials and great taste in fashion. So I'd recommend checking her out.

Have Soft Smooth Hydrated Skin this Fall and Winter

Fall is already here for us in the US and winter is just right around the corner. As a result, from it I have already see my skin getting dryer. And I know that this happens to everyone, not just me. And it is not fun or flattering to have flaky rough dry skin. So this blog post I'll be sharing my tips and tricks on how you can achieve soft smooth hydrated skin.

Steps:

1.) Exfoliate- Use a really nice loofah or a body wash/gel or soaps that have rough parts or beads in it. I cannot stress enough on how some people do not exfoliate their body. Exfoliating is a must all year round, especially during the colder months. Exfoliating will make your skin softer and smoother. It also helps with getting rid of dead skin cells. I would recommend doing this at least 1-2 times a week, but I do it every other day. And focus on exfoliating on your knees and elbows the most. Since, this is the 2 main places where your skin is really dry, rough and flaky. So we want to just get rid of those dead skin cells.

2.) Moisturize- After you get out of the shower or bath, you really need to heavily moisturize your skin. This is because your skin will be really dry with all the water and steams you used to take a good nice shower. I would recommend using a body butter or just a really thick body lotion to moisturize. My favorite body butters and lotions are by The Body Shop and Bath & Body Works. But if you are looking for one that doesn't have a scent to them, I would recommend checking out Lubriderm products. Now if you do take a shower in the morning, I would recommend to
use a lotion with at least SPF 30 or you can just use sunscreen. And you should this step everyday, not only just when you exfoliate. It also works really well with moisturizing your skin, because the steam in the shower will help open up your pores. So it will really moisturize really well. I would recommend to really moisturize and focus a lot on your knees and elbows, since this is where it is really dry and rough. This step will really help nourish your skin. And if you are using other brand of lotion, I would recommend one that has coconut butter in it. Because the coconut butter will really help moisturize your skin.

3.) Cotton Clothes- After this all of these steps, now when you are ready to dress, I would recommend wearing something cotton. So I would recommend wearing a long sleeve cotton shirt or robe and a long cotton pants. The cotton will help trap in your body heat and the lotion/body butter you just put on your body. Which, will have a better result when you wake up in the morning.

4.) Drinking water- Aside, from that I would recommend drinking 6-8 glass of water everyday. Not only will it help you have better skin, it is also good for your health. But don't over drink, because it is also bad if you drink TOO much water.

Stay Away From- What I recommend to stay away from doing is taking a really hot shower. Because I love taking really hot showers, but it is really bad for your skin overall. Especially, in the colder months, because it will dry out your skin more than it already is. So a no no for really hot showers.

Do you have any other tips or tricks to have soft smooth hydrated skin? If so, leave it in the comment section below.

Another Haul: Tarte, Revlon and many more!

Yesterday, I went shopping for some new makeup again. Because I really got a lot of makeup I want to try on my wishlist. So I went to Ulta, Sephora and a few other stores. And please excuse for my back to back haul, but I promise that my next blog post will not be a haul. Lets get into it...

Ulta:

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hours Blushes- I really wanted to try the Tarte Amazonian blushes, because makeup gurus that I watch like flowerbomb31, xsparkage and makeupgeektv absolutely love those blushes. So I went ahead and picked up the shades I really wanted and I totally agree with them, these blushes are wonderful. The shades that I picked up are Exposed and Bride. I also really wanted the other shades, since they all raved about all of them. But I didn't wanted to waste my money on those shades, since I already have tons of other blushes in those shades. But Exposed and Bride are really unique.

Revlon ColorBurst Limited Edition Holiday Lipglosses- Then, I went to the Revlon section of Ulta and I saw that Revlon had released out their ColorBurst limited edition glosses. And I absolutely love their regular line of the ColorBurst lipglosses. So I picked up a few new shades from the limited edition holiday collection. The shades are Ignite, Cocktail Dress, Glitz Glam and Spice It Up.

Revlon Illuminance Cream Shadows- I had always wanted to try one of these cream shadows palettes, because every gurus I watch loved them. At Ulta they were having a buy one get one half off, so I bought 4 of them in the shades I really wanted. The shades I picked up are Moonlit Jewels, Not Just Nudes, Khaki Suede and Wild Orchids.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters- Being a lover for the Revlon Colorburst line, I had to picked up their new lip butters. I bought 7 of their shades out of 20, but I definitely will be going to buy all of them. The shades I bought are Tutti Frutti, Pink Truffle, Cupcake, Candy Apple, Red Velvet, Strawberry Shortcake and Sugar Frosting. Basically, these lip butters are suppose to be a gloss, lip stick and lip butters in one.

AHAVA Dermud Intensive Hand Cream- I watch missglamorazzi aka Ingrid from YouTube and she loves her Ahava hand cream. So I went to Ulta searching for it and I found the Ahava Dermud Intensive Hand Cream. I already used it last night and it made my hand super soft when I woke up. So I would totally recommend this if you have really dry skin like me.

Sephora:

Sephora Jumbo Liner 12 Hrs Wear Waterproof- I had always wanted to try these as soon as they came out, because everyone I know loves them. And they were only $10 each so hey why not give them a try? I picked up 2 colors from them and they are Turquoise and Violet.

Sephora Smoky Kohl Eyeliner- I love watching pinkbeautybliss videos from YouTube and she raves about the Sephora Smoky Kohl Eyeliner. So I went ahead and picked one up in Black. They also have other shades as well.

Sephora Flashy Liners- Also from the Sephora brand collections I picked up 3 flashy liners in Flashy Blue, Flashy Taupe and Flashy Moss. These Sephora liners seemed to be people favorites.

Too Faced Glamour Gloss- One of my favorite all time gloss is the Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Pillow Talk. And I bought my first tube of it like last year and I just ran out of it. So I had to go to Sephora and bought another one of it.

TheBalm Bahama Bronzer- One of the most love bronzer right now I think is the TheBalm Baham Bronzer in Hot Mama that everyone loves. So I also had to pick this one up and try it out.

Lancome Star Bronzer Natural Matte Long Lasting Brozing Powder- I know that this is really bad to pick up 2 high end bronzers at the same time, but I also just had to pick the Lancome Star Bronzer up. They have two shades and the one I picked up was the one in Sunbath.

Nordstrom:

Giorgio Armani 'Eyes to Kill' Mascara- From the beginning of this month, I've had wanted to try the Eyes to Kill Mascara in Steel Black. Because Xsparkage had used it in a few of her tutorials and I had to picked it up. But it is $30 so it is definitely an investment.

Hope you enjoy my haul!

Haul: Ulta and Ann Taylor

Hello, hello everyone I'm back for the day with a haul that I bought today. Today I went shopping and I went into Ulta and Ann Taylor. So this haul is pretty exciting in my opinion. And yes, I bought everything with my own money that I worked multiple jobs for. Lets get into everything now.

Ulta:
1.) L'Oreal Lineur Intense Brush Tip Liquid Liner- I had always wanted to try this liner for years, but I never somehow bought it when I am at the beauty stores. So today I totally remember and decided to buy it, since I've hear so many good reviews about it. And since it is only $8 I was like why not go ahead and try it out and I got it in Carbon Black.

2.) L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara- I have tried all of the L'Oreal Voluminous mascaras and I really liked them, but when I was at Ulta I guess they came out with a new one and it is the Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara. They also have it in waterproof, but I was like nah it's winter and I probably won't sweat to need a waterproof one and I already have a ton of waterproof mascaras. And it was only $9 and I got it in Blackest Black.

3.) Bedhead 2'' Crimper Iron- Then, I bought the Bedhead crimping iron. Because I hear mollysgotmakeup13 from YouTube did a review about it and she seems to like it a lot. Now I do already have a crimper, but I bought that like 6 years ago and it slowly starting to not work as good. So I decided to try out the Bedhead, since Bedhead is a pretty good brand. And it was not that expensive for a hair tool.

That was the all the things I bought. Now lets get into Ann Taylor. So I was driving up to Beverly Hills which was the closest place that has an Ann Taylor store near me. I've seen an ad of her new collection last night on YouTube and so I clicked on it and I fell in love with her new collection and just random stuff from her.

Ann Taylor:
1.) Cable Knit V-Neck Sweater- From her new collection I bought the Cable Knit V-Neck Sweater in Abalone Heather. And the sweater is super soft and it will definitely keep me warm for the winter months. I live in California so the coldest it will get is probably like 43F degree. So this sweater is perfect for this kind of weather. But even if you don't live in California, this sweater will still look great layering with other clothing pieces.

2.) Pleated Front Ruched Long Sleeve Top- Than, also from her new collection I bought the Pleated Front Ruched Long Sleeve Top in Indigo Ink. They also had it in a few other colors, but the dark navy attracted me the most. And this top is kind of inspired by SNSD latest single "The Boys". Because I've noticed that their clothes for the song has a lot of synching and this top is totally the closest clothes I've found that is similar to The Boys outfit and that is still wearable. Because if you've watches SNSD "The Boys" music video and performances their outfits has a lot of synching especially the pants and it is kind of like royal like outfit. So definitely, not wearable for Californians but this top is the closest I've found so far.

3.) Cashmere Boat Neck Tunic- The next top that I also picked up from the new collection is also inspired by my favorite SNSD member Yoona. I absolutely love Yoona's fashion when she is not performing. I feel like her style is simple, but still kind of elegant and tight and loose at the same time. I saw a pretty new video when she was in a radio station with the rest of SNSD members and other SM Town members and her clothes was the first thing that attracted me to her. And I found that the Cashmere Boat Neck Tunic that I got in Shooting Star is really close to her fashion and style.

4.) Cashmere Scarf- And the last thing that I picked up at Ann Taylor was one of their Cashmere Scarf in Roasted Macadamia. And this scarf is something that I think when I think about a grandma's closet. But I feel like it is something really different and unique since most people these day don't really like a scarf this. It is also great to just put over a tank top for those warmer fall days.

Soft, Neutral Look w/a Pop ft. the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette

I know that many of you makeup lovers out there have the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette. That's why I decided to do this really nice soft and neutral makeup look using eyeshadows from the palette. And if you don't, don't feel left out there are still many dupes for the eyshadows. But I just recommend going out and invest in this palette. It is totally worth the rave that everyone has for it. Although, I'm not sure if they are still in stores, since it came out like 1-2 months ago at Sephora, Ulta and online and it was limited edition. But I'm pretty sure you can find it somewhere, like ebay. Anyway, back to the palette, I know that there are quite a few colorful eyeshadows in the palette and some of you out there might get overwhelm. So I am going to do this tutorial to show that you can still get everyday look with the palette and not get overwhelm, but still have a pop of color.

1.) First, just start of by priming your lid. For this look, I really recommend using the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden.
2.) Next, take any flat stiff eyeshadow brush with Midnight 15 and just pack it on your lid and lightly into the inner corner.
3.) Then, take a crease brush with Midnight Rodeo and apply it lightly into your crease to define your eyes.
4.) Now take a small outer v brush with M.I.A and apply this eyeshadow into the outer corner of your eyes.
5.) Then, just take a fluffy blending brush and just blend everything out, until you can't blend no more.
6.) Now for the fun part take the same outer v brush we used for the outer corner and just clean it with a tissue paper and than go in with Deep End and just apply it on your lower lash line, stopping about 1/3 of the way in.
7.) With a highlighting brush take Vanilla and highlight your brow bone with it.
8.) Take a gel eyeliner, my favorite is the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink and just line your upper lash line with it. Make sure it is thinner in the inner corner and gets thicker as it goes out into the outer corner.
9.) Now just curl your lashes and apply a coat of your favorite black mascara.

Cheeks:
For the cheeks, just any light pink blush will work.

Lips:
And for your lips any light pink lip color or a nude lip color will work, make sure your lips aren't matte. Try to make it glossy by applying a lipgloss either a lone or on top of a lipstick or lip stain.

My Winter Face Makeup Routine

Winter is finally here for everyone, so I've been changing my makeup routine from fall to winter. The weather are a lot cooler now and where I live it has just been raining non stop. So my makeup routine is suits for cool rainy weather. I might change my makeup routine for December and January, but as of November I've been doing what I've done a lot. This isn't what I wear everyday, but this is what I wear most of the time I wear makeup. I am also been starting to love foundations, my BB Cream phase is starting to fade away. I though still love my BB Creams, but I know that the BB Creams I use are not accessible to everyone. So I will be featuring my favorite foundation of the moment.

1.) I first start off my face makeup by moisturizing. The moisturizer I use and really like is the Clean & Clear finishes pore perfecting oil-free spf 15 moisturizer. I absolutely love this moisturizer. It really minimize my pores, make my skin smooth and oil free for my face makeup.
2.) Next, I prime my skin and I use the Laura Geller Spackle Under Makeup Primer Original. I use the original one and I really like it. I know that they have come out with a few different one. I got a sample of it like a long time ago from Sephora and I just gotten around to using it and just to tell you it works wonders for my skin. It is not oily at all and it blends in like heaven and it makes my skin really really soft. So I just apply this all over my face. And you can find this at either Ulta or Macy's, since I know that Sephora stop carrying Laura Geller products.
3.) Next up it is the foundation process. The foundation I use is the Clarins Extra-Firming Foundation SPF 15 in 104 Cream. I have a lot of other foundations, but at this moment I have been absolutely loving this Clarins one. This is a full coverage foundation, so if you do not want a full coverage foundation I wouldn't suggest this. I first just pump out 1 full pump of it and then I just dab it on my cheeks, chin, forehead and nose. Then, I go in into blending it into my skin with the Sigma F80, which is a flat top synthetic kabuki brush. And you can find Clarins at a Clarins spa and you can order sigma online.
4.) After, that I go to do my under eye circles and yes before I do my makeup I apply an eye cream and you can check my old blog posts if you are wondering which one I use. But for my under eye concealer I use the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller. So I just roll that under my eyes and I set it with the Bare Minerals Well-Rested for Eyes with a MAC 224 brush.
5.) For my face concealer, I have been using my lost long time favorite concealer and it is the NARS Stick Concealer in Vanilla. It works great for covering up blemishes and scarring, not so much as an under eye concealer. It will crease if you do use it under your eyes.
6.) As a setting powder I just go in with any kabuki brush with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus. My favorite kabuki brushes are from Crown Brushes, Sigma, Elizabeth Arden and Confidential Brushes. But just any face brush will work with this setting powder.
7.) For blush, this month I have been using the Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine every time I wear makeup. I like to apply this an angle contour brush, but this month I've been loving my Sephora Professional Platinum Powder Brush in #50. The brush is really soft and it apply the Mellow Wine brush perfectly with the perfect amount, since the blush is really pigmented.
8.) The last step for my face is to set it and I don't really contour that much this month, I've have just been enjoying my pale face for the winter. I think that pale skin are just in for winter. But I lastly set it either with my Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Setting Spray or my Model In A Bottle Original Formula Makeup Setting Spray Matte Finish. It makes my makeup last all day long and keep my face 80% shine free for the whole day.

And if you want to see how I do my eyebrows, I also have a blog post up on that. I have not changed anything since that blog post for my eyebrows. And for my eyes and lips I change what I do almost every single day. But for eyeshadows I have been using all the eyeshadows in the Urban Decay Naked Palette. It's a new favorite for me.

November Book Haul!

Hello, my lovely followers today I'll be doing my second book haul for this blog. The last book haul I did was dated back to September 24th, so quite a long time. And I am such a bookworm, even when I am super busy somehow I need to read for at least 20 minutes each day. So on Thursday I went to Barnes & Nobles and picked up some more books. Most of these books are continue books to the last books I bought, so if you are wondering about that you can check out my last book haul.

1.) "The Scorch Trials" by James Dashner- This book is the second book to "The Maze Runner" that I bought back in September and totally fell in love with it. Basically, this book is about how Thomas learns that people are being infected by Flare.  And I can tell that I am going to love this book.

2.) "The Death Cure" by James Dashner- I was so excited to read the series that I picked up the thrid book in the series, which was published like only a month ago. I just didn't fee like going back to the bookstore again when I am finished with "The Scorch Trials". And I didn't know what this book is about yet, because I didn't want to read the back since it might spoil the whole series. So I just picked up when I knew that it was the continuing book to the series.

3.) "The Iron Daughter" by Julie Kagawa- If you've have seen my last book haul, you'll know that I was also started to read another series which is the "Iron Fey" series by Julie Kagawa. I am also in love with that series so I went and picked up the second book which is "The Iron Daughter".  Julie Kagawa also have 2 other book or maybe even three so far for the "Iron Fey" series. So I might go and picked up those books next time, but for now I just bought the second book. Since, I am so into the series, now I am not as into it as much as I am into the James Dashner series. But it is also really really good.

Those are the only books I picked up this time, because I probably won't have that much time to read this month. And if you guys have any good book suggestions, please suggest them down below.

Update on my Life + Urban Decay Naked Palette Review, Thoughts + Fav Combos

Hey, everyone so it has been quite sometimes now since my last blog post, but if you follow me on twitter you would know why. I barely have any time at all to tweet, btw if you didn't know already my twitter is http://twitter.com/sushiflower21 My life has been so hectic since late October. With projects, homeworks, tests, work and getting for the holiday I have no time in my life right now. So if you want to know more about what is going on in my life right now, don't forget to check out my twitter and hopefully follow it?

Anyway, this blog post is not just about that it is about the Urban Decay Naked Palette that I received last month. I have been loving it nonstop lately. I use it almost every single day now. And I totally think that it is worth the $48 investment. I do have to clarify that I did not bought this palette with my own money. I actually received it for free by a Youtube guru, I won one of her giveaway. So just to get that out of the way. I didn't received it for a review or anything like that. It was all her subscribers. Now I am going to review and share my thoughts and a few of my favorite eyeshadows combinations.

First of all, every single products that comes with it including the shadows, brush and primer are all absolutely fantastic. I would totally rate this palette a 4.5 out of 5. There is really no cons to it, beside that the eyeshadows have a lot of fall outs. And that there are not enough matte colors, but that's okay. I love my shimmery eyeshadows. I think that this palette suits best for a beginner or if you love neutral eyeshadows. Because I think that if you are not a beginner and already have your own eyeshadows you use. This palette might not be the best for you, since the colors are easily dupeable. But it would just be a great kit and good for traveling. And if you love shimmery eyeshadows, this would be the palette for you. Except there are only 2-3 matte shades.

As for my thoughts, on the product I think that it is a great palette if you love makeup like I do. The Urban Decay Primer Potion(regular) works great. It blends in really nicely. For the flat shader brush it comes with, that brush is also really high quality. It has not shed once since I use it, which is like every single since early November. This definitely have to be one of my favorite makeup product this month. I just love everything about the palette. Also, the packaging is very unique and cute. It is a velvet material for the packaging. The eyeshadows smells pretty weird, but you can't smell it once you have it on. Now keep in mind that the palette will get really messy, because of the fall out and stuff. But I feel like that that happens to every palette, it will eventually get dirty.

A few of my favorites combinations are...
1.) Gunmetal on the lid and lower lash line, Buck in the crease
2.) Sin and Sidecar on the lid, Buck in the crease, Darkhorse in the outer corner and lower lash line
3.) Half Baked on the lid and inner one third of the lower lash line and Smog in the crease

There are endless combinations with this palette, but these are just one of my favorites. It comes with 12 great eyeshadows. So it is like $4 per eyeshadow, not even including that it comes with a really nice brush and the famous Primer Potion. I think that the palette will last you about 6-8 months and probably a few months till you hit pan. The eyeshadows that it comes with from left to right are...

1.) Virgin
2.) Sin
3.) Naked
4.) Sidecar
5.) Buck
6.) Half Baked
7.) Smog
8.) Darkhorse
9.) Toasted
10.) Hustle
11.) Creep
12.) Gunmetal

Top 5 Makeup Products

If I was to be stuck on a deserted island, hopefully it is a nice beautiful deserted one. And I can only choose 5 makeup products that I would have with me on the island these would be the 5 makeup products I choose.

1.) Tonymoly Premium Zen Two-way Pact SPF 48 PA++- or just any other BB Creams that I have because I absolutely love the ones that I have, but this is the one that I really really like. And I think you can only buy it in South Korea. And I would say that BB Cream do not give you full coverage, but I don't really need full coverage. So BB Creams are perfect for me. It has many products in it that just eliminate the products you have to put on your face.

2.) Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller- If I was to be stuck on an island, I probably won't get enough sleep. Because I will be thinking about how I will live from now on and will I be rescued and just those stress compilations. So that is why I need an under eye concealer and my favorite at the moment is the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller. So I cannot live without this product. Garnier also make another one for puffiness, but I rarely get puffiness. I decided to go with the under eye circles one instead.

3.) FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara- And I cannot live without my all time favorite mascara, the FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara. I have been using this mascara since last summer I think and it is the only mascara that I've find that never brings me down.

4.) EOS Lip Balm in Lemon Drop SPF 15- One of my favorite lip balm is the EOS Lip Balm in Lemon Drop SPF 15. Because it is really moisturizing, two it is super cute, three it is unique and last but not least it has sun protection factor that will not give me a burnt lip.

5.) Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Ash Blonde/Taupe- To look complete you need to have a nice filled in eyebrows. So I decided to pick my all time favorite eye brow powder that use every single time if I need to fill in my eyebrows. It is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brown Powder Duo and my shade is in Ash Blonde/ Taupe. I totally recommend you invest in this. It is a bit expensive, but totally worth it.

Now I will be doing another version but for makeup tools like brushes and all that stuff. But it is just the makeup product. Feel free to leave your top 5 makeup products below if you were stuck on a deserted island.

Would You Rather Beauty TAG 2011 Edition

Quite a few months ago during the summer there was the Would You Rather Beauty TAG 2011 Edition created by sparkliebarbiexo. It consist a total of 14 questions about beauty related things. So I'm just going to get right into it.

Questions:

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
For this one, it was kind of a no brainier for me, because I rather lose all of my palettes and eyeshadows than all of my mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses. Because I think that mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses are the makeup essentials that everyone should have. Your makeup would never look good or complete without all of these products. Whereas, I can't live without all of my essentials, but I sure can live without my palettes and eyeshadows.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
This one is also a no brainier for me, because I would have to go with chop off all of my hair. Because I currently already have long hair and my hair grows pretty fast, so I do not want hairs that go past my feet. It is just gross. And if I do chop all of my hair, I can just buy a wig that looks real.

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I would rather have pink cheek, because pink cheek are more universal if you know what I mean. It'll always be in trend, it 99% of the time goes with any makeup look and it goes with any season.

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
I would rather spend on makeup, because as much as I love clothes; I am more of a makeup geek than clothes. I mean don't get me wrong I absolutely love fashion, just check out my closet. But since I already have so many clothes, I think that it would last me longer than makeup. And there are also the basics to fashion like tank top and jeans. And I feel that the basics will never go out of trend, so I can just wear them whenever I want.

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Definitely, eyeliner as lipstick because it is more safe than vice versa. Plus, I've also seen some pink and red eyeliners, which can totally be a lip liner.

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Sephora, Sephora! If you didn't know already, my favorite makeup brand is NARS. And they have NARS at Sephora. So I can't live without NARS. So Sephora and plus they have any makeup brand you could possibly think off, excluding drugstores.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
This one is really hard, because I love eyeshadows and lip color the same. But I would say that I would rather use one lip color. Because you can do many looks that would look good with just a pink lip or a peach lip and just etc.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
This one is also really hard. But I would say that I rather wear winter clothes in the summer. Because anything can be winter clothes, like a tank top can be a winter clothes. But a long sleeve definitely is not a summer clothes. So since winter clothes are mostly layering, so I guess that means a tank top can be winter clothes too. Because when it is winter I definitely sometimes wear tank tops. And when it is winter, I don't have to worry about getting freezing. I already have my coats and jackets in hand.

9.) Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?
This one is also another really hard questions, but that is the point of this tag. I guess I would go with bright nails all year around. Because somehow bright nails I think match any season and bright nails just basically make me have a brighter day being a brighter happier person.

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
And here comes another hard question. I really stuck on this one, but I guess I would have to give up my favorite eye product. Because my favorite lip product are chapsticks and lip balms, which are the same thing. And my favorite eye product are mascaras. So I rather have my natural lashes showing in public, than having ugly dried chapped lips in public. Especially, in photos and plus you also just look more you and natural without mascaras on. And if I don't wear mascaras my lashes will also be a lot healthier and longer, but we know that's not going to happen.

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?
Definitely a messy bun, because I feel like a messy bun goes with any outfits and occasions. Whereas a ponytails doesn't, it also just add a little more twist. And I also think that I look better in a messy bun over a pony tail.

12.) Would your rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I would rather never paint my nails again. Because I absolutely love lipglosses, but I also like nail polishes. But I would still choose never being able to paint my nails again. I mean I love lipgloss. It's makeup. And I like makeup just a tad bit more than fashion and nail polishes.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?
I would rather shave my eyebrows and have none at all. Because I mean it is just plain out dumb to sharpie them.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
I would rather live without nail polish. And I'm pretty sure you know why.

And I hope you all like it and I am so sorry for not being on twitter and do as many blog posts as I should. But my life has just been so hectic and busy.

Sephora and MAC Haul!

Horray! Happy November! I am having another makeup haul. And these time they are only from Sephora and MAC. Now I just have to say that I did get quite a few sets at Sephora. So keep that in mind. I went to a local MAC and Sephora store last Friday or Saturday. Just a few days before Halloween. I'm going to stop rambling and just get into the haul. I will start with the Sephora stuff first, than I'll get onto MAC.

Sephora:

1.) Tarte Lip Service Limited Edition LipSurgence- I am so so excited when I saw this Tarte lip surgence set. I mean it worth $120 if you buy each of these alone, but you get 5 of them for only $29. This is absolutely crazy and all of the colors are so stunning. It comes with Dazzled, Flashy, Glitzy, Perky and Swank. They are like jumbo lip pencils and the qualities of them are amazing. So I'd suggest to go to a Sephora and snatch this while it is still available in stores.

2.) Sephora Favorites Lashstash- For the third year in a row I have been getting all of the Sephora Lashstash everyday holiday season. And if you don't know what Lashstash are it is where every holiday season Sephora comes out with a set of their top high end mascaras samples that you can buy for a cheaper price and try them out. I actually really like this year a lot more than the last 2 years. I comes with a Clinique Take The Day Off, which I is an eye makeup remover. And I only got this for $45 but it is originally $133 if you buy all of them separately. This is why I love Sephora, they always comes out with great sets for a lot cheaper price. The mascaras it comes with are

FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara in black

Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara in black

Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara in black

Urban Decay Supercurl Curling Mascara in black

MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Lash in black

Josie Maran GOGO Instant Natural Volume Argan Mascara in black

Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara in black

Too Faced LashGasm in black (weird name, i know)

Stila Full-Size Forever Your Curl Mascara in black

Sephora Collection Full-Size Advanced Lash Booster in black

3.) Sephora Favorites Rollerball Collection for Her- Guess what? The next product that I picked up is also in a set. Sephora just comes with like thousands of great sets each holiday season. And this next set are sample of high end perfumes in roller-ball form. Which is great, because it is perfect for traveling. Because I travel a lot especially around this time of the year. Its value is $140 but I only got it for $65. I actually have tried a few of the perfumes, but some I really want to try and some that I never even heard off. But I have smelled all of them and they all smells fantastic. It comes with

Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gioa
Coach Poppy
CLEAN Shower Fresh
Hanae Mori Butterfly
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy
LaVanila Vanilla Grapefruit
Paco Rabanne Lady Million

And that's all I got at Sephora just three great sets. Now lets get going onto MAC, shall we?

MAC:
For MAC I only picked up a few things from their latest holiday collection Glitter & Ice and Ice Parade. Since, if you didn't know I already have a ton of makeup already. Basically, I have every makeup you can think of.

1.) 6 Snowglobe Eye Shadows/ Cool- This palette is so so beautiful. It comes with really nice 6 nice dark colors that would look absolutely gorgeous in a smokey eye. The colors are Snowball, Howzat, Illegal Cargo, Idol Eyes, Warm & Smoky and Set to Dance. I think that it was totally worth it, since it is not neutral wearable colors that you can find at the drugstores and I don't have any of the eye shadows at all except for Idol Eyes.

2.) Mineralize Eyeshadows- Than from the Glitter & Ice collection I picked up 2 mineralize eyeshadows in Shimmermint and Frozen Blue. I wasn't really interested in the other colors.

3.) Pain Pots- Also, from the Glitter & Ice collection I bought a paint pot. This one was the most unique from all 3, so there was really no point to get the others two. But I did picked up For Effect. It is like a black with pearls that is now the MAC site described it as.

4.) Dazzleglass- I than just picked up a dazzleglass from the glitter and ice collection. The one I chose was Glitter and Ice, of course.

5.) Beauty Powders- I than last but not least picked up the 2 beauty powders they had from the same collection. They are Snowglobe and How Beautiful!

So that was all the makeup products I bought from MAC and Sephora.
