Products I Regret Buying

If you've guys have noticed, the last few days including today, I have been getting 2-3 blog posts up. And that is because I just feel like doing so, or else I will get carried away again like last time to not put any posts up. Anyhow, this post will be about beauty products that I regret buying. I don't have that many, because I am very cautious on what I buy. I do a lot of research on the products if not a person that I really trust recommend me the products like my friends, family and YouTube beauty and makeup gurus.

1.) MAC "Myth" Lipstick- I have never loved this lipstick, but seriously every single guru that I watch all rave about this lipstick. I don't think that it deserves the hype it does received. I am very light skin and I first thought that it would suit me since one because of my complexion and second my favorite gurus rave about it. But seriously, it makes me look dead and it goes on very chalky no matter how smooth my lips are. I sometime will try my best to use it, since I've already waste $15 on it.

2.) MAC "Mystery"  Eyeshadow- My older sister Samantha love this eyeshadow and I thought that I would love it too since she uses it seriously every single day. And when I swatched her shadow on my finger it looks fabulous, so I drove to the MAC store and bought it for myself thinking that I was loving it. And I mean it looks great on Samantha, but it looks so blotchy and, messy when I put it on my own eyes.

3.) Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30- I truly hate this product, because it absolutely give me no coverage at all. And it feels very heavy on my skin, which a tinted moisturizer wasn't suppose to do. And I've tried it twice the end of last year and I've never touched it again.

4.)  YES to Cucumbers Cleansing Wipes- Gurus that I watch love the Yes to... line from the drugstore and many of them like the YES to Cucumbers makeup wipes. So I decided that it was going to be my holy grail makeup wipes, but sadly it disappointed me. I seriously love my typical Neutrogena wipes a lot better.

5.) Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner- Many gurus that I watched and actually even one of my best friend love Organix brand shampoos and conditioners. That is why I decided that I was going to hit the drugstore and pick up a pair of their shampoo and conditioner. And I would say that this is the worst shampoo and conditioner I've ever tried. It made my hair very crunchy and I've noticed that it also made my hair falls off more than usual. After I've been using it for about a week or two I saw the bad results and stay away from it, but I've kept it under my bed so that I could do this post for you guys.

My products that I have regretted buying is over. And I am sure there are more products that needs to be in this post, but I just cannot think of it right now.

Makeup That Suits ALL Skin Tone

Hey everyone! So today's post is inspired by InStyle magazine that was from months ago. I was reading it the other day of their beauty section and they had an article on the best makeup for all skin tones, cheeks and eyes. Basically what they had was different colors that would suits a variety of skin tones that would cover from the palest to the darkest complexions. So I decided to do a post on it and a lot of the products that they mentioned I had. I thought that it would be cool, because some of you guys might have the same products and you can see how it will work on your specific skin tone. I'm going to go into lipsticks, cheeks and than eyes and I added three lipglosses and two bronzers that might interests you.

Lipsticks:

1.) Maybelline Color Sensational " Warm Me Up"- Rosy Nude Color
2.) Revlon Superlustrous "Cherries in the Snow"- Bright Reddish Pink Color
3.) Chanel "Mademoiselle"- Neutral Rosy Tone Color
4.) Guerlain "161"(i think it's called Cherry Blossom)- Pinky Color
5.) Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters "Candy Apple"- Perfect Red Color
6.) NARS "Dolce Vita"- Dusty Rose Color

Lipglosses:

1.) Burberry "Cameo Pink"- Good all around lipgloss.
2.) Le Metier De Beaute "Summerland"- Gorgeous Bronze Peachy Color
3.) Chanel "#11"(can't remember the name)- Goes really well with peach or pink lipstick.

Cheeks:

1.) Covergirl Cheeker "Rose Silk"- Pretty Corally Orgasm(NARS) Color
2.) NARS "Orgasm" Illuminator- Universal coral color
3.) NARS "Penny Lane"- BEST Cream Blush ever, my favorite blush
4.) Illamasqua "Ambition Shimmer"- Neutral Pinky Peach Shade

Bronzers:

1.) Edward Bess "Ultra Luminous"
2.) Chanel "Poudre Universelle Compact"

That is the end to my "makeup that suits all skin tones" suggestions.

My Favorite Drugstore BB Cream Routine

Summer is here in less than a month, so this post is going to be very helpful and exciting for both me and you guys. In this post I will be presenting my ALL TIME FAVORITE foundation(bb cream) routine for my face. It is light weight compare to a real foundation routine. I will be using all and by all I mean "all" drugstore products, from brushes to concealers. I love this routine, because since it's Spring it's very suitable, but when it's starting to get chilly again I can build it up; since I don't have to worry about the makeup meltdown. I also love this routine when I go traveling, because I don't have to worry about the products getting lost or breaking since it's not that expensive.

Steps:

1.) I first start off by moisturizing my skin with my current favorite moisturizer, and it is the Olay Complete All Day UV Moisturizer Combination/Oily SPF 15. I know that I used to rave about the one by Clean & Clear, but I honestly love Olay moisturizers and products a lot more. And since my mom love Olay, I decided to go back to it again. I would recommend this moisturizer and to be specific, Olay to anyone that is interested. Although, the bb cream I am going to use has both SPF and moisturizing properties in it, I still like to use a separate moisturizer. I don't think that the moisturizer in any BB cream works as justice as a real actual moisturizer.

2.) However, a BB Cream does cut a step for me and that is priming. A BB Cream is many products in one, it's design to be a moisturizer, primer and foundation and I think that the primer part of it works wonders. So I do not prime my face whenever I am using a BB Cream. The BB Cream I am using is the Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream. I squirt out two dime size of the product and put two dots on each sections of my face and put whatever is left to my neck and my ears. I then just use the warmth of my finger to blend the bb cream into my skin.

3.) My favorite concealers are by Maybelline and Revlon. But my favorite for Spring to perfect my blemishes is the Revlon Colorstay Concealer. It is lighter than the ones that I like from Maybelline, so it's very appropriate for Summer and for any season overall. I put it on the back of my hand and use my finger to place it on any imperfections and blend it in real well by using my fingers to tap it in.

4.) For under my eyes I like to use a separate concealer and my current favorite is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer. I basically, just twist the product up and apply it in a triangle shape under my eyes. Doing this will counteract the dark circles and make my under eyes areas glow a whole lot more. And I just use my ring fingers to blend the concealer in.

5.) I don't have a favorite setting powder. So I basically, just use any drugstore setting powder that is translucent since it's summer and that I like with a big fluffy powder brush from Essence of Beauty.

6.) The last step of course for my drugstore BB Cream routine is to set my face with the ELF Set & Mist Spray. It is I think $3-$5 at Target.

* I don't have a favorite routine for my eyebrows, which I know should be in this post. But if it's not my favorite I don't want to talk about it. Although my favorite eyebrows routine is using the Anastasia Beverly Hills products. But that of course is not drugstore, you can get it at Sephora tho.

And to pump up the intensity of the coverage, I suggest to use more of the concealer and pack on more setting powder. If you do it correctly, it will not look cakey and plus with the help of the ELF spray, it will definitely not look cakey. I suggest to go in with a flat top kabuki brush after spraying your face to help ease the cakeyness if your face does cake up.

That is the end to my Favorite Drugstore BB Cream Routine.

How To: Wear Bright Eyeliners

I've been longing to do this specific post months ago, but I just haven't found the right time to do it. Since Spring is already here and the Summer season is about to arrive, I decided that it is very appropriate to do so.

Base:
You can the eyeliner as a base for your eyeshadows. The eyeliner will make the eyeshadow(s) more vibrate and stick more to your eyes. I suggest a pencil eyeliner.

Winged:
Another great way that is more tone down to use it as a liner on your upper lash line and wing it out. I suggest any kind of eyeliner from pencil to cream and liquid.

Waterline:
Putting the liner on your waterline is the most tone down, because it will give a settle pop of color to your eye look. So you'll look awake and it will open up your eyes a lot. I suggest a pencil liner for sensitive eyes and if not I suggest a gel or cream liner, because they are more vibrant and last a lot longer.

Lower Lash Line:
The last great way I can think of is to line it on your lower lash line and set it with a settle color. I suggest a pencil liner for this look.

WARNING!!!
Stay away from PINK eyeliner, especially bright and neon pink. It will just make you look asleep and like you have a red eye.

TAG: 5 Things I Want In A Guy

Hi my fellow beauties lovers! Today's post has nothing to do with beauty, makeup or fashion at all. Although, I thought it would be a fun idea to do a tag that is something rather than beauty related. I'm not sure if anyone has made or done this tag before, but as of I know, I am the first one to do it. So I guess I am creating this tag, and I am tagging everyone that wants to do it.

Basically what this tag is going to be about is what "my dream guy" is, by going through a series of 5 questions.

1.) What level of education?

A: At least graduate from a college or a university with a diploma. I am an incoming sophomore in college.

2.) How old compare to your age?

A: I prefer guys that are older than me, but if he's late by a few months or a year that's fine.

3.) Family background?

A: Make sure his family doesn't run any hereditary diseases.

4.) Body Image?

A: Taller than me when I have at a 4 inch heel on. I am 5'10. So I prefer a really tall guy probably around 6'1 to 6'5.

5.) Personalities?

A: Funny guy on the inside and has no bad intentions on anyone.

This is my version of the "5 Things I Want In A Guy" tag. Hopefully, this tag will be spread out web-wide. I TAG everyone!

Drugstore Dupe for Urban Decay Eyeshadow "Sin"

Over the period of the last few months, I've now found a dupe for the famous Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sin. And you can get a lot more from this product for cheaper, but I'm not sure if it's still around. It's actually not an eyeshadow, but it's a cheek highlighter. It is by Revlon Colorstay Mineral Finishing Powder in 010 Brighten. This shade is the lightest that Revlon has out of the Mineral Finishing Powder they have. I'm not sure if anyone else has discover this, but from what I know, no one has yet.

Inexpensive Makeup for High School

I know that the school year is about to come to an end for most people, so I am so sorry that this post is going way late. Although, you can wear it anytime and is appropriate for anyone; it's very simple and wearable. You can also use this for the next school year and it is also very appropriate for most workplace. However, this post leans more toward and is meant to be an all inexpensive makeup for high school students or anyone around the age range of 14-18 years old. So it's great for students that don't have money or are making little to no money.

Face:

1.) Moisturize your face, neck and ears with at least an SPF 15 moisturizer.

2.) The next step is to apply the Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream with your fingers. I really like this BB cream considering that it is the cheapest BB cream I have and that it is a drugstore product. It goes on very well, blend it good enough and give good coverage. I wouldn't say that it is the best BB Cream I've tried, but it gets the job done and is pretty good. And I would suggest a BB cream because it is lightweight and is in between a tinted moisturizer and a foundation. If you don't know what a BB Cream is it is like a face primer, foundation and a moisturizer in one.  And one thing why I like this specific bb cream is that it has SPF like most and many BB Cream does, but I would still recommend to use an SPF moisturizer underneath because not the whole SPF will be spread onto your skin evenly with the BB Cream. So using this bb cream will cut down a step of your makeup routine which will save a bit of time.

3.) This next step is optional especially if you have good to little pimple skin, because the BB Cream should do most of the work of covering up your imperfections. But if you still need or want more coverage I would recommend apply the Maybelline SuperStay 24 HR Concealer with the warmth of your finger onto the desire spot(s).

4.) The following step is a concealer for under your eyes and my current favorite inexpensive under eyes concealer is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer. Basically, how I apply this product is to twist it till the product comes out and apply it in a triangle shape under my eyes and than blend it in my skin with my ring finger. This step will make a huge difference, it will make you look more wide awake especially in the morning when you are waking up and not feeling like going to school.

5.) Then, take a big flat top kabuki powder brush my favorite inexpensive is the ELF Powder Brush which is only like $1-$5 I think at Target. So with this brush take it in with the Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder for Sensitive Skin. This is my current favorite inexpensive powder, it works great for all skin type.

Eyes:

1.) The first step for the eyes is to take the Sephora Eye Primer Pot with your ring finger and apply a light even coat to your eyelid, lower lash line and the inner corner. It retails for 8 US dollars at Sephora, which is considerably cheap.

2.) Now, here is my favorite part and that is the eyeshadows. My all time favorite drugstore eyeshadow pallete is the Covergirl Eye Enhancers 3-Kit Eyeshadows in Shimmering Sands. Take an EcoTools Eye Shading Brush with the middle color and apply 1-2 coats of it to your lids using padding motions. Then, take the same brush with the highlight color and highlight your browbone and inner corners with the light color. Lastly, take the same brush with the darkest color and apply it to your crease and lower lash line.

3.) Wipe the EcoTools brush very well and use it to blend your eyeshadows till you can't blend anymore.

4.) The next step is take the Sonia Kashuk Bent Eye Liner Brush and dip it in the L'Oreal HIP Studio Secrets Cream Liner in Black and line your upper tide line and just lightly on your outer upper lash line.

5.) The last two steps is to just curl your lashes and my favorite drugstore eyelash curler is the one by Revlon. And my current favorite drugstore mascara is the Covergirl LashBlast 24 Hour Mascara in Very Black. One thing I have to say though is that this mascara does transfer a bit to your crease during your 7-9 hours wear of it, but other than that I have no problem with it. I can just get a Q-Tip and wipe it off real quick.

Brows: This one I would suggest to find a good pigmented matte single eyeshadow and apply it with the Sonia Kashuk Brow Brush. And the brow gel that I suggest is the Covergirl Professional Natural Lash Mascara. It's just a clear mascara that is really great as a brow gel.

Cheeks:

1.) With an ELF Studio Blush Brush use it with the Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush and apply it to the back of your cheeks and up to your temples. I love this blush, because it gives off the perfect amount and it is just a happy go lucky blush overall.

Lips:

1.) I suggest a nice natural lip color. So to achieve this you need to first moisturize your lips with a good SPF lip balm or chapstick and make sure your lips are smooth.

2.) One of my favorite drugstore lipstick is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Intense Wear Lipstick in Airy Fairy number 1573. It's just a nice, and moisturizing natural lip color that is like my lip color but better kind of look.

3.) To go along with the lipstick I would recommend the ELF Hypershine Gloss in Bare. It seriously will go with any lip color and all you have to do is just twist it and the product will come out.

Sets:
The last step that I like and always do in my makeup routine is to spritz my face 2-3 times with a makeup mist. My favorite inexpensive one is the ELF Studio Makeup Mist & Set. I've mentioned this product a few times before in my posts and it is the only drugstore makeup setting spray I like.

Hope you all will do this look and enjoy it! Have a great day!

Part 3 of Spring/ Summer 2012

Welcome back everyone! Right now I'm back with Part 3 of my spring and part summer 2012 haul. It will have everything that I didn't include in my last 2 parts, because I want to do a post separate just for them.

Nordstrom:

1.) Rebecca Minkoff 'Mini M.A.C.' Shoulder Bag in Bright Yellow(Mustard) and White- I don't have any purse or satchel that is a plain bright yellow color or a plain white color, so I decided to invest in these 2 by Rebecca Minkoff. Although they are super expensive, I still like them and find that it is worth the money I'd paid for.
2.) Halogen 'Carryover' Scarves- Deep Turquoise, Bright Orange, Brown and White
3.) Echo 'Pear Label Conversational' Scarves- Cherry Multicolor, Fresh Lime Multicolor, and Black/Green Multicolor
4.) White Michael Kors 'Drake' Chronograph Silicone Watch- I've never had a watch in my life ever. So I decided to invest in a really nice name brand one for my first try. I've heard so many people talk about Michael Kors' watches, so I made up my mind to buy one of his white watches.
5.) Orange with Purple Steve Madden Beaded Scarf
6.) Putty/Cactus Flower Ali Ro Short Sleeve Anorak with Contrast Trim- SNSD Im Yoona fashion style in Love Rain had inspired me to buy this sweater, this reminds me of something that she would wear. And since me and her have very similar body shape in the sense that we are both very skinny, but it is just that I'm quite a bit taller than her. I'm 5'10 and she is around 5'6-5'7 I believe.

Bloomingdales:

1.) Black Gucci Square Wayfarer Sunglasses- I've seen so many K-Pop idols like T-ara Hyomi, SNSD Jessica and Tiffany rocking the wayfarer sunglasses trend. They all had inspired me so much to get a nice pair of my own. And I don't have that many sunglasses, so investing in a nice one means a lot to me.

2.) DV Dolce Vita 'Mini' Suede Lace-Up Oxfords- I'm in love with SNSD Yoona fashion sense in her latest drama "Love Rain" and I noticed that she wears a lot of oxfords shoes with no or to little heels. So she has also been inspiring me to get a few pairs of oxfords for myself. And since I'm pretty tall, these are great for me since they don't make me look like a giant.

3.) Cognac BP. 'Aiden' Oxford Flat- This one is very similar to the Dolce Vita one in that it is also an oxford, but it is leather and has a big bow in the front. Whereas the DV one is just your standard typical women oxford.
