My Current Hair Routine

I've been wanting to do this blog for 2 days now, but I never got around to doing it. I have just been really busy these past few days. As a WARNING! I will warn that this is going to to be a really long blog post, because I have a lot of steps and hair products. I of course don't use all of them at the same time, I will kind of switch it from day to day basis. This is my current hair care routine as of August 26, 2011. I think I have been using these products since July. If I do change my hair routine, which will be around October I will be doing an updated one. I like to change products I use every 2-3 months, because than it will be better for my hair. If I keep using the same products for forever my hair will get use to it and it will not work as well as it did.

Shampoo and Conditioner: I like to wash my hair every other day, meaning if I wash it today I will not wash it until the day after tomorrow. The current shampoo and conditioner I am currently using right now are both by Cibu. I use the Cibu Shang High Volumizing Shampoo and the Cibu Shang High Volumizing Conditioner. My hair is very flat it basically have no lift or volume at all and these shampoo and conditioner works great. One thing that are really great about them is that they are sulfate free, meaning that they won't lather and take too much oil out of your hair. It will do cleanse out the dirt and oil out of your hair like a regular shampoo that lathers really well, but it will not take out too much oil from your hair because than it is really bad for your hair. Your hair will become really dry if it did take out too much, so this Cibu Shang High take just enough. After, I shampoo and condition my hair after I get out of the shower I like to put roll my hair up in a towel and than wait for 20 minutes and I than comb it with a wide tooth comb.

Treatment: For treatment, I am currently using Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovering Hair Mask. This is like a deep conditioner that I will use maybe one time every 1-2 week after I shampoo and condition my hair. I love this for the summer, because I go to the beach and the pool a lot so the salt from the beach and chlorine from the pool will dry out my hair. Since it is summer and this hair mask is really moisturizing I only use it on the hair below my ears and down. My hair type is oily, so if I use it all over my head I would have to wash it everyday.

Blow Drying: As for, blow drying I only blow drys my hair till it is about 70% dry, because I don't want to use too much heat on my hair. But before I blow dry my hair I put in 2 products. I first put in the CIBU Shang High Thickening Paste, because it will reduce the drying time so I don't have to use that much heat on my hair and it will also add more volume to my hair. I will just squirt out about a dime size amount and run it through my hair from roots to ends. Then, I use a heat protectant and I am currently using the CHI 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray. When I blow dry I don't really like to blow dry it upside down, because I hear from averunks from YouTube that she got a purple eye from it. Because I think it make your blood run downs to your eyes, so I tried my best to blow dry it with my hair straight using the diffuser. The blow dryer I use is the Ed Hardy White Geisha Professional Hair Dryer I really love it and I got it off of folica.com. I use to use the Mary Kay and Ashley Olsen for Conair blow dryer that I had for like 5 years, but it died on me. After, I blow dried it for about 70% done I than comb through with a wide tooth comb to make sure there are no tangles.

Heat Styling: After I wait till it is 100% dry after the blow drying I will apply more of the CHI 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray than just use a brush to distribute the heat protectant evenly all throughout my hair. You would want to focus the most on your ends. I do not want to miss a section or else the heat I will be using after will cause damage to my hair. If I was going to straighten my hair I would of course use a straightener. I currently I have 4 straighteners. I have the GHD Professional 1 in Original Styler Flat Iron, Ultra CHI Hot Pink 1 in. Ceramic Flat Iron, CHI 1 in. Pink Ribbon Flat Iron and Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Fat Iron 1 1/2(the one with blue plates). I would section off my hair with clips and than I would just straighten it like normal, I go very slowly. If I was going to curl my hair I would do the exact same thing, except heat styling it in a different techniques.

Serum: I have many flyaway in my hair, so to make them go flat to invisible I use the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. I would squirt out the littlest amount, because if you use a lot it will make your hair look really greasy.

Dry Shampoo: After, the day I wash my hair I would use a dry shampoo because by than my hair would already be kind of oily. I am currently using the Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray.

Hairsprays: I use hairsprays a lot so I have quite a few. I mainly use hairspray to tone down my flyaway if I don't want to use the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. I use it after I curls or basically do anything with my hair involving making it wavy, curly or have some texture to it. The hairsprays I have are...

1.) Not Your Mother's She's A Tease Volumizing Hairspray
2.) Garnier Fructis Style Body Boost Volumizing Anti-Humidity Hairspray 3 Extra Strong
3.) Garnier Fructis Style Control Non-Aerosol Hairspray Ultra Strong
4.) Tresemme TRES Two Extra Hold Hair Spray
5.) Tresemme TRES Two Ultra Fine Mist Hair Spray
6.) aussie aussome volume hair spray in maximum hold
7.) aussie sprunch hair spray(non-aerosol)
8.) aussie mega hair spray aerosol
9.) L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray
10.) TIGI Rockaholic Fun Times! Flexible Hairspray
11.) Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Hairspray 3 Maximum in Sunset Citrus

As you can see I am hair junkie, especially for hairsprays. I just got this thing for hairsprays. But I of course different buy all of this on my own, I probably bought 90% of them the rest I received as gifts and presents.

Scrunching: If I was to scrunch my hair I would use the Garnier Fructis Style Fiber Gum Putty Pliable Molding Extra Strong. It is just a pasty hair gel that I put in my hair and scrunch it. I than of course would hairspray it with one of the above hairsprays or if I am feeling really light I would use the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.

These are all of the hair products that I have and that I use. So tell me down below what hair products you use.

How I Like to Wear my MAC Sushi Flower Eyeshadow

Tonight I decided to do this little quick blog post on my ways on how I like to wear MAC Sushi Flower eyeshadow. This was my first ever MAC eyeshadow, just because I love pink my whole entire life. I've probably went through 5 pans of this, so I kind of know how to wear it. I also decided to do this blog post since most people are afraid of this color, because it is pink especially for you blue eyes girls. Actually, it is not that bad I also have blue eyes and it doesn't make me look tired at all. You just have to find what is the best ways for you to wear it. One advantage of this eyeshadow if you are a beginner is that it is not that pigmented, so you don't have to worry about overdone it. It is easily building all you need is just a nice base and brush to apply it.

Way 1:
I like to apply this on lid over MAC eyeshadow in "Expensive Pink" and MAC "Satin Taupe" eyeshadow in the crease.

Way 2:
This eyeshadow also looks really great if you put it in on the lid with MAC "Woodwinked" eyeshadow in the crease. As a base if I was going to pair it with Woodwinked. I like to use Urban Decay Primer Potion in "Original" as a base. Since, it kind of have that pinkish peachy tone to it that will be a nice blending color between Sushi Flower and Woodwinked.

Way 3:
You can also put this on the lid with MAC eyeshadow in "Passionate" in the crease.

Way 4:
The fourth way on how I like to this eyeshadow is applying it in the crease with MAC "Ricepaper" eyeshadow on the lid.

Way 5:
Next is pairing it with "Shale" eyeshadow also by MAC in the crease and lower lash line with it on the lid.

Way 6:
Apply MAC "Rubenesque" Paint Pot all over the lid up to brow bone with "Sushi Flower" all over the lid and use whatever is left on the brush blending it into the crease. Then, just pair a highlight color like "Shroom" or "Brule".

Way 7:
Last, but definitely not least it looks fantastic on the lid with "Satellite Dreams" or "Stars and Rocket" in the crease.

One Quick Tip:
Is that Sushi Flower look absolutely stunning on the eyes paired with purple eyeshadows.

TAG: Get Your Freak On (15 Weird Facts + An Extra One)

Since, I've had a really fun time doing my "What I Love About TAG" blog post. I decided that today I really want to do another YouTube tag and it is a pretty new tag called "Get Your Freak On 15 Weird Facts". I love answering tag questions and it is also a really nice way for you to get to know me better. I will be doing the Blair version that has an extra 16 question, but I'm pretty sure that the original version only have the first 15.

Q1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?
My family always either calls me "Kay", "Tinker" or "Cind". They calls me Kay because it is a shorter way of calling me Kate. And the Tinker and Cind name comes from my two favorite animated characters. Tinker is for Tinkerbell and Cind is for Cinderella. But my family mostly just calls me Kay, except for my little sister she calls me Tinker or Cind. She also really loves Tinkerbell and Cinderella like me.

Q2. What's a weird habit of yours?
I like to play with my fingers. I know that may sounds weird, but it is really true. I like to do rare things with them. Like crossing them over each other, making shapes etc.

Q3. Do you have any weird phobias?
I am suffering from Social Anxiety Disorder or it is mostly known as social phobia. I am right now getting treated and recovering from it. I guess that's a phobia, but other than that I don't really have any weird phobias. Except I am afraid of ghost. I think everyone is afraid of ghost, or at least you should. I mean ghost are really scary.

Q4. What's a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone?
I don't really have one specific song, but I would have to say "Change" by Hyuna. If you don't know who she is, she's a k-pop singer currently in a k-pop group call "4 minute." She is also a former Wonder Girls member.

Q5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
People leaving their socks in their shoes. This is what guys do the most. I know my older brother does that, but of course my sister sometimes do it too. I just can't understand why they have to leave their socks in their shoes. Can't they just walk to the dirty clothes bin and put it in? I never do that. It really bothers me when people do that, I just think that it is really gross.

Q6. What's one of your nervous habits?
I sweat a lot. Whenever I am nervous I sweats a lot. My hand becomes butterfingers and it sweats. I have to dry it on my legs. My armpits also sweats, so this is when deodorant comes in really handy.

Q7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
I don't have a specific side of the bed I sleep on. I usually just sleep in the middle. I have a queen size bed, so I like to sleep in the middle of the bed. No specific side, except the middle.

Q8. What was your first stuffed animal and it's name?
My first ever stuff animal was a white teddy bear with a red heart it is holding. I remember calling it "Cuddle".

Q9. What's the drink you always order at starbucks?
I don't have a specific drink I always order at starbucks. I order different drink each time, I like to try out new things. Plus, starbucks are really expensive so I don't really go their that often.

Q10. What's a beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice?
Wash your brushes every week. I never have time to wash my brushes every week, but I always tell my friends and family to. Sometime I just feel to lazy to wash my brushes.

Q11. Which way do you face in the shower?
I faces all directions when I am in the shower. Although, I usually face my back to the actual shower water and my face to the opposite direction of the shower. So I would say the opposite side where the shower is.

Q12. Do you have any 'weird' body 'skills'?
Yes, I am very flexible. I have taken yoga and gymnastics for years. I was also a cheerleader for the first two years when I actually go to a regular high school. I guess I can do splits, cartwheel, back flips and anything of that source.

Q13. What's your favorite comfort food thats 'bad' but you love to eat it anyways?
Brownies!!! I love brownies. It is my all time favorite sweet food. I love it more than ice creams and cookies. My mom makes the best brownies I have ever taste.

Q14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
"I know". I say "I know" a lot. It's a bad habit of mine or at least I think it's a bad habit.

Q15. Time to sleep, what are you actually wearing?
I usually either wears pajamas, nightgowns, boxers with loose t-shirts to tanks or sweatpants with loose t-shirts or tanks.

Q16. What did you used to wear that you thought was cool but now you realize it wasn't that hot?
Floral pants. I use to wear floral pants. I thought that it was the hottest thing ever, but it actually the opposite. I even have pictures of me wearing them. I have a purple, pink, blue, green floral pants. Basically, all the basic colors I have them with floral patterns all over.

My TOP 11 Favorite MAC Neutral Eyeshadows

Hey, guys today I will be doing a video on my top favorite 11 neutral MAC eyeshadows. I did a blog post that was very similar to this, but that was my 5 favorite MAC eyeshadows. Today is just going to be focusing on my top 11 NEUTRAL MAC shadows. So these are the neutral shadows that I recommend anyone gets. This are in no particular order.

1.) Woodwinked- I know I have mention this eyeshadow in many posts before, but you just have to run to a MAC store or counter and buy this eyeshadow. It is just really really pretty, it is my all time favorite MAC brown eyeshadow.
2.) Soft Brown- This is the perfect shadow if you want to put on the lid to make a smokey eye look or use as a transitional color.
3.) Ricepaper- I love this color for the lid or as a brow bone/inner corner highlight.
4.) Satin Taupe- This is a really nice taupe color with silver shimmer. Perfect for the crease or lower lash line.
5.) Amber Lights- I love this shadow especially when it is paired with Woodwinked. It is just a peachy brown with shimmer.
6.) Club- This is a really unique eyeshadow color that you can have a hard time finding a dupe for. It is a reddish brown color with green pearls, really unique. This along with woodwinked I would suggest for sure to get.
7.) Brun- Every girl needs to have deep dark brown eyeshadow in their collection. The one that I really recommend from MAC that is perfect for this spot is Brun. Brun is a really nice pigmented muted blackish brown eyeshadow color.
8.) Blanc Type- This is my all time favorite MAC highlight color. It is just the perfect highlight color for my skin. It is a matte squared formula, I totally recommend this shadow. Great creamy beige color.
9.) Antiqued- This shadow is really gorgeous. I love how it is a brown, but it has a bronze undertone super gorgeous on the eyes. It also really makes my blue eyes pop.
10.) 100 Strokes- I absolutely positively love this eyeshadow. I really do love it a lot. It is great for the crease, outer corner and lower lash line.
11.) Jest- The last but not least eyeshadow that is in my top 10 favorite MAC neutral eyeshadow is Jest. I love this color on the lid. I would describe this shadow as a soft peach with icy shimmers.

I now hope this will help you, even if it helped just one person. I will be doing the color version of this post, so look out for that.

(these are not the shadows i mention in the post, i am just using it since they are in the MAC neutral shadows category)

What to Bring to a Filming Set if You are an Extra?

I know I haven't made a blog post since the 20th which is totally unacceptable, but I have just been really busy these past few days. I have filming to do, building an office and many more that has been going on. Though, today I finally have time to sit down and do this blog post. This blog post though is going to be about what to bring to a filming set if you are an extra for a movie or tv show. These are all of the things I have been bringing with me to a few of filming sets I have been to.

1.) Bring 3 Different Outfits: Because you never know when you will have to change and if you do they most likely won't be giving you clothes, so that is why it is really important to change. I actually had to change one time for one of the set I went to and all 2 times to one of the set I went to. Plus, they also will be paying you more if you do have to change.
2.) Comfortable Shoes: No you do not have to change your shoes, but when you do have clothes just make sure they all look nice together. Make sure that it is not only just comfortable, also make sure that it looks nice. I would recommend a sneaker or anything of that sort. Try staying away from flats, sandals, heels and anything like that. But of course it is all personal preference.
3.) Water Bottle: I would also suggest bringing a water bottle that is of course fill with water. Trust me you will be really exhausted and tired, so water comes in handy. You of course don't have to, because there are of course water on the set but it is just way easier to have your own that you can take out of your bag and just plop it right back in.
4.) Sunscreen: You also need to protect your skin, so always bring a sunscreen. You'll never know how long and how much you will be out in the sun. Especially, if you have many filming to do during the summer the sun is going to be out most of the filming time.
5.) Pens: Always, always and always bring 2 pens with you or else you'll be doom. Being an extra you need to do paperwork every time before the actual shoot. I would suggest either blue or black pens, since I guess they are appropriate and professional colors for paperwork. Bring two just in case one of the pen doesn't work you still got another one or if your fellow extras forgot to bring a pen, you can let him/her borrow it.
6.) Bag of Makeup: Bring a bag of makeup if you are a female. What I keep in the makeup is not like usual. I only keep the lip products I am wearing that day, but one lip product that I always bring with me is an SPF chapstick or lip balm. I also bring a powder, oil absorbing sheets, eyeliner, mascara, mirror, comb or brush. That is basically all you need to bring with you. You always want to look nice and presentable in an entertainment world. If you are a male though, they recommend something that you can use to get the oil off your face. Maybe a blot powder or oil absorbing sheets. So don't forget your makeup stuffies, you definitely will get oily and your makeup fade away if you work for like 12 hours on the set.
7.) Cell Phone: If you have a cell phone I definitely recommend bringing it, because you never know what will happen during the set. So definitely bring a cell phone if you are a professional extra. But if your cell phone have a camera I definitely would not recommend taking pictures, because I think taking pictures aren't allowed on the set. Though, I'm pretty sure you can take pictures when you are not on the set. But if they say you can't bring your phone with you, put it right away you don't want to be yelled at or getting in trouble.
8.) iPod: Also, bring your iPod you will definitely most likely get bored just sitting there or walking around. It's always fun to play games or listen to your music on your iPod, but of course bring your earphone with you if you are going to have volumes on, because no one want to listen to your music they might hate it. Some sets though you are not allow to have your iPod with you, so they will tell you to put it away whether it is your bag or your locker.
9.) Book: Bring a reading book with you, especially if you don't have an iPod or one with you. You definitely will get bored somehow on the set.
10.) Wallet: Always bring your wallet with you. I mean you don't have to, but you got your money and your cards. You might need them, but have at least $5 on hand. Also, in your wallet always always bring your agency card with you. Because during the paperwork filling you need your agency address, because that is where they will send the check to and than of course the agency give it to you.
11.) Backpack/Purse: Lastly, you need to bring a backpack/purse with you that will fit all of the things you will need to bring to the set. I prefer a backpack over a purse, because it is just easier to carry around.

So let me know what you bring set if you are an extra!

Benefits of Green Tea and How to Use it Without Drinking

"Green tea is made solely with the leaves of Camellia sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea originates from China and has become associated with many cultures in Asia from Japan and South Korea to the Middle East."

If you don't know what green tea is suppose to do to your body, well it does a lot. It helps with your health to how you look. Green tea is a type of antioxidant that is suppose to be all natural helping with anti-aging. It helps prevent wrinkles and fine lines.

You can drink green tea or you can use it as a beauty product, but now matter how you do it they will both work just as well. I really don't like to drink green tea that much, because as you all may know or may not tea is suppose to make your teeth yellow but it is not as worse as coffee. My older sister Brooke she love drinking green tea. She will take the tea bag out of its package and put it in a glass and pour hot water in it, than she can drink it. For me I will drink it sometime, though really rarely. What I like to use it for is a part of my skincare routine, but I will only use it in my nightly skincare routine not my morning. I really don't know why, but I just don't like to use it in the morning.

As a part of my skincare routine, I use it as an everyday toner. Though, I will sometime switch it out with my other toners. The brand of green tea that I am currently using right now is the Lung Fung Ginseng Green Tea. I don't know where it is from since my mom did bought it and she put it in the kitchen cabinet. I do have 3 other boxes of green tea and it is from the brand 100% Natural Teas Celestial Seasonings, the type that I use is the Natural Antioxidant Green Tea with White Tea for Smooth Taste. This I'm pretty sure you can get it at Ralphs, Vons, Food 4 Less or CVS/Pharmacy. It is better if the green tea is all natural with no added things including flavors, but I think it's okay if it's not that natural. I would rip the tea bag, so I will have the green tea extracts into a little medicine bottle. Then, I will pour tap water in the medicine bottle and shake it with the cap back on then there we go. You have your little natural green tea toner.

This is also great if you have oily skin, because it will take out the oil but it won't over do it.

Korean Pop: Girls' Generation

GIRLS' GENERATION! If you guys don't know about me I'm not just a beauty and fashion freak. I am also obsess with anything Girls' Generation and basically just K-Pop overall. I mean if you guys don't know what K-Pop is you are missing on something that is amazing. K-Pop just mean Korean-Pop specifically South Korean, but I don't want to get into that. This blog post will be dedicated to Girls' Generation aka SNSD they are my idols. I can't even choose a favorite, because I just love them all so much. From left to right we have Sunny, Tiffany, Seohyun, Yoona, Yuri, Sooyoung, Jessica, Taeyeon and Hyoyeon. Yep, that's right I remember all 9 names of the 9 members and that was by heart. I did not search up their names, I just love them so so much. So I am really excited to do this blog post, it is all about Girls' Generation.

As, much as I love this group I have one thing to complaint about. That is unfair. I mean Hyoyeon she's a great singer and dancer if not she would not be in this group, but she just doesn't get much attention at all. I think that the person that gets too much attention is Yoona. She is not even the leader of the group, because Taeyeon is and they make her have more times in music video. But I don't really care about that, because I just LOVE them so much. I think that they will always be my favorite group ever. So I really hope they will never separate, but unfortunately they will have to one day that's just part of life. Though, I hope that doesn't will never happen. Finger cross everyone and knock on wood that SM will not disband this group.

If I have to choose my all time favorite song from them it would have to be "Run Devil Run", but that is of right now. I also really like Into the New World both remix and original version. Also, one of my favorite song from them is Girls' Generation and Mr. Taxi. Then, I guess Mr. Taxi will also be my favorite song from them that is in Japanese. I almost forgot I also love Genie aka Tell me your Wish and Oh. Echo is also really nice to listen to. I really like the music video, not just because the background was really beautiful. They actually film the music video for Echo in Phuket, Thailand. This makes me want to visit Thailand even more, but I'm just too busy right now buy maybe next summer I'll get to have a chance to visit Thailand with my family.

I have all of their albums that have come out. I am really excited for SM Entertainment next world tour. So they can come to LA again and I get to see them maybe get to meet and have their autographs. Uh! I just love them so much. If you have listen to SNSD before, go and comment down below or tweet me via twitter @sushiflower21 what you favorite song from them is. If they did come to LA though, I am most excited about to meet Tiffany, Jessica and Yoona. Yoona of course is my favorite out of the group. She is just so talented she's good at dancing, acting and singing. I feel really bad that I didn't get to go and meet them the last time they came to have a concert here in LA. That was one of the biggest mistake I make, JK it is not. But it is a pretty big mistake and I totally regret it.

Anyway, I just love Girls' Generation although I know they have many haters but those haters are nothing compare to true fans like me. I will always support and cheer for them. So if you have never listen to Girls' Generation before you totally should. I mean come on they rock. They are really good at singing and dancing, what more can you get from singers.

Review: Smashbox Softbox Eyeshadow Palette

As, many of you may know my everyday eyeshadows look is using all of the shadows in the Smashbox Softbox Eyeshadow Palette that retails for $48 at Sephora. I got it about one month ago in July and I've been using it non stop. It is my most use palette and shadows at the moment. I love all of the shadows it comes with. It also comes with a two sided brush, Photofinish Lid Primer and 2 cream liners along with the 9 eyeshadows.

Two Sided Brush: I don't really like the brushes it comes with. I mean the liner brush is just impossible for me to apply the liner it comes with. It is just too straight and it didn't really pick up any liner. As for the shadow brush it's okay, I wouldn't say it's the best.

Photofinish Lid Primer: This is probably one of the best eyeshadows primer I have ever tried. It is very silky and very easy to blend. A little really goes a long way with this, since it is of a thick consistency. It really makes your eyeshadows pop and stay all day. I have very oily eye lids and it helps control the oils. This primer is really universal so it will work on everyone, it is just a blendable warm beige color.

Cream Liners: It comes with two cream liners in Bronze Liner and Taupe Liner. I don't really like the liners it comes with, it doesn't have much pigmentation at all. I tried to apply with all of the liner brushes I have, including the one that comes with the palette, it just didn't have much pigmentation at all. The brushes didn't really picked up much of the liners, I kind of have to press it kind of hard. So the liners is a no go for me. The Bronze Liner is a deep bronze color and the Taupe Liner is a silvery taupe color.

Eyeshadows: I have pros and cons about the shadows, but I'll first start off with the names of the shadows it comes with and I am going horizontally. We have Nectar, Vanilla, Flirt, Lucky Penny, Sugar, Stone, Sienna, Nude and Truffle. For the pros, the pigmentation is great and are really easily to blend. As, for the cons there are just too much fall out with the shadows especially the shimmer one like Sugar and Truffle. I also think that there are not enough matte colors in this palette, so if you don't like shimmery colors I wouldn't recommend this palette. But since I am a shimmery girl I love it. The shadows are also really powdery, so it will go all over your face and every in the palette. I would recommend tapping off the excess after picking up any of the shadows and too also do your face after using these shadows, if you don't want to look like a disco ball. But overall, I still really like it.

I would rate this palette a 4 of out 5.

Makeup Starter Kit for Beginner

I know that many of you that are reading this might be a beginner to the makeup world. You don't have many experiences with makeup and you don't really know what this and that makeup products are. But don't worry I will be helping you guys today, because I will be recommending the basic makeup for you. Although, you do not have to get all of this makeup or things I recommend for me I think that it is a necessity for starting out with makeup, but it might not be for you. So you don't have to take all of my words.

Face:
1.) Smashbox Photofinish Light Face Primer: This is my favorite primer, because I can easily find it in stores. It act a base for my face makeup to go on smoother and it makes my foundation last a lot longer. A bonus to this is that it is suppose to be design for people that have dry or normal skin, but I myself have a combination oily skin and it works just as well for me. So I would say that this product work for almost any skin type. But you should go and try to find out what primer works best for you, things works differently for everyone.
2.) Covergirl Liquid Makeup Oil Control Foundation: This foundation is great and it covers so well. I would totally recommend this foundation if you have combination or oily skin. It really help control the oils. This product can be found at any drugstores like Walmart, Target, CVS etc. Foundation is the makeup product that I think everyone should invest their money on. I mean if you invest in a good foundation it will make you look flawless and nice. So go out to the stores and find what foundations work best for you, not what work best for others.
3.) Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer: I'd recommend picking up a concealer that works well for both your face and under eyes if you need more coverage. One of my favorite concealer that do this trick the Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer. It's cheap and covers up everything completely, both under eyes and face imperfections.
4.) Setting Powder: Now this product is very optional, especially if you don't have combination or oily skin. But I do so I would say that this should be in my makeup kit if I was a starter. I really like the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus, since it does give me a bit of coverage and it sets my foundation really well. But a good drugstore setting powder that I also really like that works great for combination or oily skin is the Maybelline Shine Free Oil Control Loose Powder. This powder though is not press and it doesn't give coverage unlike the MAC one so if you need a little bit more coverage I wouldn't recommend this. But if you don't and you want a press powder they also have the same powder but in a press form so you can go and check it out.
5.) Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush: A blush is one of those makeup product that you don't have to have a few of. You just have to find one that will look great with any makeup look. I would recommend a cream or mousse blush, because you don't need a brush to apply it like a powder blush would so it is great if you don't have many brushes perfect for a beginner and it last a really long time longer than a powder blush one. I really like the Maybelline Dream Mousse Blushes they're pretty cheap and the color that I think will go great with any makeup look is 25 Rose Petal. It is your typical light pink blush that will look great whether you do a natural look, smokey look or even bright colorful look.

Eyes:
1.) ELF Eyelid Primer: Since, this is a starter kit post I really want to try my best to recommend cheap drugstore product that works really well. The main tip to make your eyeshadow last all day is a primer. I really like the ELF Eyelid Primer because it is cheap and it works great.
2.) Maybelline ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quad: The best kind of eye makeup for a beginner is a quad with placing names like the Maybelline ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quads. It has four colors that goes really well together, so that you can create a nice eyeshadow look. This quad is also great because it tells you on the eyeshadow and the back where to place each color on your eye, perfect for beginner because you might not know where to place each color. I would recommend doing a neutral brown shadow look if you are a beginner, because it doesn't need much practice and is easier to do than bright or smokey color. The perfect quad that will do it is the one in Mocha Motion.
3.) Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner: When you are starting out with makeup the best type of eyeliner that I would recommend getting are pencil eyeliners. Because they are easiest to apply in my opinion out of all the eyeliners out there. It doesn't need much practice and you can use it on almost anywhere on your eye even if you have sensitive eyes, unlike a gel, liquid or cream liners. My all time favorite pencil eyeliner is the Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Stingray it is just a pigmented last all day doesn't go anywhere eyeliner.
4.) Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler: Their the best eyelash curler ever. I have had them for 4 years now and I haven't bought a new eyelash curler since than. It works great. I would have say though that this is an investment for me, it's pretty expensive for a drugstore eyelash curler. You can get it at Target.
5.) Covergirl Lashblast Volume Blasting Waterproof Mascara: I don't really know why I love waterproof mascaras so much. I guess it is that I think they have better quality than non waterproof one and I have a tendency to somehow have my mascara all over my face if I don't use a waterproof one. You don't need to spend $20 on a high end mascara, because I think that drugstores mascaras are so much better than high end one. I mean have you tried MAC mascaras? They cannot even be compared to Covergirl or Maybelline mascaras. Drugstores mascaras are the best in my opinion. My favorite drugstore mascara is of course the Covergirl Lashblast Volume Blasting Waterproof Mascara and I got it in Very Black.

Eyebrows:
1.) Anastasia Beverly Hills: Anastasia Beverly Hills have the best eyebrows products and tools and I have ever tried. I'd recommend investing in a really good eyebrows kit if you are a beginner. Eyebrows kits usually tells you what to do to your brows like how to fill them in. But since I am kind of already experience with eyebrows and already have some tools that I already have before discovering Anastasia I only bought their Brow Powder Duo in Ash Blonde/Taupe. But for tweezers, spoolies, brow gels I kind of already have those so I will do a whole another blog post on that.

Lips:
1.) Revlon Colorburst Lipstick: If you are starting out with makeup I would recommend checking out a nude lipstick or a light pink lipstick, but not ones that will make you kind of dead. My favorite nude lipstick ever is the Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude and my favorite pink lipstick in MAC Angel.
2.) NYX Megashine Lipglosses: If you don't want to wear lipstick. I would recommend any of the NYX Megashine Lipglosses. They are so pigmented, not sticky and is only like $3 at Ulta or Amuse. Or you can even pair lipstick and gloss together.

Brushes:
For brushes, if you are starting out I would recommend to just buy 2 brushes. One for your face that will do everything that you need for your face and one eye brushes that will do all the trick to apply shadows to you eyes. Brushes are also an investment, because if you have a really nice brush it will last you forever if you take good care of them.
1.) Sigma Large Angle Contour Brush F40: This brush does all the trick. It apply foundations, powders, blushes, bronzers and highlighters.
2.) MAC 217 Blending Brush: This brush is also a really versatile brush. You can read more about what it can do in my TOP 5 MAC Brushes post.

Basically, you can do your whole entire face with only these two brushes.

Others that I Recommend, but they're not necessary or for everyone:
1.) Urban Decay De-slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray
2.) Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets
3.) Lip Liners

What I Keep In My Clutch/Wrislet?

Hey, guys so today I decided to do this little blog post on what I keep in my clutch? I don't really wear clutch that often, although I somehow have quite a few of them. I usually only wear them when I am going out or on special occasions, but today I feel something different so I decided to wear out during the day. Whereas, usually I would just carry a regular size purse. For today, I used the Michael Kors Sloan Convertible Clutch that I got at Macy's for around $200 so it is definitely expensive but it is totally worth it and I got it in red. I'm not sure if they have it in any other colors.

What I Keep in My Clutch?:

1.) Blackberry Phone- of course I take my phone with me everywhere.
2.) iPodtouch 4 and Pink Earphone- I love listening to music, so I also have to take my iPod every with me.
3.) Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets- this is my all time favorite oil absorbing sheets, without this i would look like a total grease ball by the end of the day
4.) MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus and Powder Puff: Whenever, I use a clutch I don't bring a brush with me. So I prefer a powder puff instead, but if I was going to use a regular purse I would bring a brush to apply the MAC MSN.
5.) Lip Products- The other and last makeup item that I will bring with me in a clutch is just lip products that I am wearing at the moment. Today I brought with me Victoria's Secret Ginger Lip Liner, Revlon Soft Nude Lipstick and NARS Striptease Lipgloss.
6.) Two Sided Mirror- I will also sometime bring a little two sided mirror with me like today. If the face powder I brought with me doesn't already have a mirror. So this changes for me.
7.) Wallet- I sometime will also bring my wallet with me if my clutch doesn't already have a place to put my cash and cards in or if my clutch is big enough for my wallet. But today I didn't bring it with me since the Michael Kors clutch already have a place for my cash and cards. The wallet that I use the most is the Coach Chelsea Signature Slim Envelope in silver/khaki and walnut.

That is all I bring with me in my clutch or wristlet, I use clutches more than wristlets.

Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder or NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder

Many of you may know the two famous bronzer by Benefit and one by NARS. I know that many of you are stuck on which one to by, since they both have gotten good reviews. This is why today I will be going into detail on both of these products and which one I prefer. Both of these bronzers are great for fair to light skin, so if you are medium skin or anything darker I wouldn't recommend any of these two bronzers. Although, the NARS one does have two other shades in Irrésistiblement and Casino.

Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder:

NEW Packaging

OLD Packaging

The old and new packaging both have the same cover design. The only difference is that the old packaging the cover isn't connect to the actual box, whereas the new one has the cover attach to the box. Which, is a plus so than you can't loose the cover, because when you loose the cover dirt and bacteria can get into the product easier making you break out.

I would say that I really love this bronzer. It retails for $28 without tax in America, so I'm not sure how much it is in Canada and internationally. I love this bronzer, because it is matte and is a few shades darker than my skin tone. I have a fair to light complexion. When you are trying to find a bronzer look for one that is matte and is 2-3 shades darker than your skin so it will do the job naturally, not making you look fake. This is also great for me since I have oily skin, it will not add any more shimmer or glow like the NARS will. Benefit Hoola is worth the $28 in my opinion, it is my perfect and all time favorite bronzer along with the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny. Which I'm not going to talk about in this blog because this blog is not about the NYC bronzer, although I can do a separate review on it if you guys want me to. Another, great thing about the Hoola is that it comes with a really nice soft brush. So it is great if you are starting out with makeup or doesn't have many brushes, because it comes with a brush for you already. Now the brush works pretty well, you can definitely use it to bronze your face in the 3E motion and you can definitely contour with it. Except, I find out that I like using a fluffy powder brush better when I am trying to give my face some color, it is just easier in my opinion. For contouring, I like to use an angle contour brush because I think that it is the best brush ever to contour. But once again if you want to use the brush that comes with it, that's perfectly fine it works pretty well. In my opinion, I would rate this bronzer a 5 out of 5 it is just MY perfect bronzer. Hoola is just really pigmented, so a little really goes a long way with this bronzer. You can find this bronzer in stores at Sephora or Ulta. You can also order online from 3 different websites...

NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder:

This is NARS Laguna Bronzer it is basically just a diffused brown powder with gold shimmers. I am not really fond about the gold shimmers, just because I do have oily skin. But I knew about this before I even had it in my makeup collection, but I gotten it as a birthday presents from last year. I am still using the same old one that I got from last year, so it does last you a long time. But I think it also because I don't really use it that much, because I have other bronzers that I like better.

NARS Laguna Bronzer retails for $33 in the US without tax, just a few dollars more than the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. One thing that I would say that this bronzer is better than the Hoola bronzer is that it comes in 2 other shades. Which I have addressed already it comes with Irresistiblement that is describe as a desert glow, so that bronzer is great if you want to have a nice soft glow not really a bronzey face and the bronzer that you would use to contour. The darkest shade it comes in is Casino which is describe as a dark brown with golden shimmer exactly like the Laguna, just darker so it is great for people with a darker complexion maybe like a medium dark to dark. I would say other than that it is just like the Benefit Hoola. This bronzer is also really pigmented,  little goes a long way and it last a long time. I think that this is great if you have dry or normal skin. But for us girls with combination oily skin or oily skin it will work, since the shimmer is that noticeable. Though, it is definitely noticeable or at least for me when I stand in the sun. Overall, I would rate this a 4.5 out of 5. You can get this in stores at NARS counters in Nordstrom or at Sephora. You can also order it online at http://www.narscosmetics.com/color/cheeks/bronzing-powder/laguna http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P12790&categoryId=C10476 http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/nars-bronzing-powder/2893817?origin=category&resultback=1331

In conclusion, I like the Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder more than the NARS Laguna Bronzing Face Powder. I would also recommend the Benefit Hoola to anyone over the NARS Laguna, but everyone have their opinion and preference.

Here is a swatch of the two bronzers that I have found online side by side:

Kate's Top 5 Favorite MAC Eyeshadows

Hello everyone, have you ever wondered what everyone's top 5 favorite MAC eyeshadows are. Well, today I will be doing this blog post on my top 5 all time favorite eyeshadow. These eyeshadows may not be what I wear on a regular basis, but they are still one of my top 5 favorites shadows that I love to look at and play around with. So I guess I'll get going onto it...

My TOP 5 Favorite MAC Shadows (these are in no particular order):

1.) Sushi Flower: Of course this has to be my favorite MAC eyeshadows. If you didn't know already this was my first every MAC eyeshadow. I mean it is pink and it is makeup, totally describe me. I think I have gone through like 7 of these, it is so pretty. This eyeshadow is a pinky color color with pink shimmers, so pretty. You have to get this eyeshadow. I really wish I had brown eyes like my mom, because I think that brown eyes will look great pairing with Sushi Flower. I know people says that pink will make blue eyes look tired, which I have but somehow it just make me look fresh and wide awake.
2.) Woodwinked: I love this eyeshadow and it is called woodwinked. This is my all time favorite neutral color. It also looks great with Sushi Flower on the lid and this in the crease, it is absolutely gorgeous. I would describe this shadow as a warm antiquy- golden brownish color.
3.) Post Haste: Really really love this eyeshadow, it is really pigmented and easy to blend. Except, it is discontinued so I am trying not to use it that much. But if it did ran out I think I can still get it at the CCO. I love this color so so much and it definitely a bright berry pink color.
4.) Goldenrod: This eyeshadow is the perfect bright marigold yellow that I have ever tried. It is so pigmented and totally worth the $15 that I paid for. Absolutely stunning. I love this eyeshadow because it is still a pigmented bright yellow color, but it still has somewhat in it that makes it different from just your typical bright yellow color.
5.) Vibrant Grape: I'm not sure if this eyeshadow is discontinued or not, but I don't think it is. This eyeshadow is the perfect purple eyeshadow color ever. I mean it is so pigmented, vibrant, gorgeous, it looks great and uh it is just so pretty.

I have some other eyeshadows colors that I really like for an example Club and Steamy. But I just feel that the above colors are my FAVORITE eyeshadow ever. I would totally recommend checking out any of them.

How To: Make Your Own Lipgloss

Today, I will be sharing you with the tricks and tips on how I make my own lipgloss. This is really simple and I know that many people also do the same thing that I do, so I am not saying that this is Kate Original not at all.

Products Need:
1.) Vaseline, Petroleum Jelly, Lip Balm/Chapstick(make sure it has no color or tint to it we want it to be clear, so than the lipgloss can come out more to color)
2.) Eyeshadows, loose eyeshadows or pigments (i prefer pigments or loose shadows)
3.) Spoon
5.) Little Jar (i prefer a 5 grams jar)

Steps:
1.) Dig out as much vaseline you need on into your jar.
2.) Put an eyeshadow or pigment into the same jar as the vaseline. (remember you can always mix shadows or pigments)
3.) Use the end of the spoon to mix and crush the vaseline and pigment(s) or shadow(s) or both together.
4.) Add more vaseline or pigments/shadows if you need.

That is it can you believe it? Super simple. Very easy to make your own lipgloss.

My Guide for Back to School Shopping!

School are about to be starting for most of us. I know mine start very very soon, it's tomorrow the 15th of August. I am really excited, because I will be starting my first year in college as a freshman. That is why today I decided to do this blog post to help anyone that is reading this right now to know and decide what you should buy for back to school shopping and what you should not buy for back to school shopping. I think I'll start with the clothing and fashion, because I know that this is what most people are excited about than I'll get into the school supplies and all that jazz.

Clothing:
1.) Tank Top- You can get solid color tanks top for really cheap they cost maybe $2-3. I would say to pick up a few white, black and grey solid color tanks, because they will go with anything or you can just wear it alone.
2.) Shorts- Although, school will be starting in the fall it doesn't mean that you can't wear shorts. Make sure they aren't too short, but of course you can buy short short. Just make sure your butt don't hang off of them, because that is not flattering at all. Try to go with jean shorts or white or black color shorts.
3.) Skirts- I would say that every girl need at least one skirt in their closet. I think that skirt looks great on anyone. I would recommend high waisted skirts, because they are in style and they look great on. For colors, go with floral or solid color skirts like pumpkin orange, dark forest green, navy or black. You can get a bunch of them at stores like Forever 21.
4.) Leggings- A black pair of leggings is always great to have in your closet. They can keep you warm like if you wear a skirt you can put this under it and it will look fantastic. I would say to get at least 2 pairs of black leggings, they are a huge deal in the fall and winter months that are coming up very soon.
5.) Jeans- Stores like Express, American Eagle, Hollister, Macy's, Nordstrom and Ross have great jeans. They have a wide selection of colors, sizes and style. Pick at 2-3 pairs of any shades of blue skinny jeans and pick 1 pair or 2 of flared jeans, to rock that 70s look. But of course you don't have to buy them if you don't like them, anything that I recommend are just suggestions. You don't have to buy all of the things I recommend. I just think that they are great if you want to buy Back to School clothing.
6.) Sweaters- Sweaters are really great for the fall and winter months. They look great on anyone and keep you really warm and cozy. My favorite kind of sweaters are oversize sweater, just because they aren't too tight around my body. Plus, oversize sweaters will make you appear thinner. But I seriously don't need that, since I am already so skinny. You can find them at many department stores and at Forever 21. Go for both styles if you want tight sweaters and oversize sweaters and ones with hoods and without hoods.
7.) Shirts- Go to any store and get a few solid color v-necks if you don't already have one. I would say to go with a white v-neck and a black v-neck since they will match anything if you are buying your first v-necks. But if you already have these colors try to go with navy or purple v-necks. These colors flatters most people.
8.) Scarves- Lastly, I would say to go and picked up a scarf or more. Don't go anything crazy with crazy patterns, designs etc. Buy ones that are just plain solid colors go with black, white, navy, purple or red.

School Supplies:
1.) Rule Papers- 1-2 packs of rule papers and you can easily find them with a pack of 100 for only like 90cents so super cheap.
2.) Binders- I like to go with ones that has cute or crazy designs, I don't know they just won't make school look that boring. You can go as big as you want and as much as you want. I usually buy 2 binders and they are usually both 1 inches or inches. That is just my personal preference.
3.) Highlighters- You will need highlighters trust me, because your teachers or at least mine requires highlighters. I like the Papermate highlighters they have great school supplies items. I usually go for the bright colors my favorite are pink and green. I buy a pack of them for like $5 at Target.
4.) Pens- Buy at least 4 pens. 2 black one and 2 blue one they are just the standard color pens that most people use including students my favorite kind are also by Papermate it is the Profile 1.4B kind. I guess they are really affordable, easy to find and works really well. I wouldn't recommend buying red pens, because I think red pens are for teachers like when they have to correct things. But I do know that some of my classes requires red pen. But even if they do just buy 1 because you probably won't use them that often.
5.) Pencils- I like both regular and mechanical pencils. For regular pencils I just use the regular no. 2 orange pencil. For lead, I go for no. 5 because they print small letters. I prefer Zebra Mechanical Pencil 0.5 Lead because they look really fancy when they are like only $1.99.
6.) Pencil Pouch- You will need a pencil pouch to put all of your school supplies in like highlighters, pencils, pens etc. My favorite type of pouches are the ones that comes with 3 holes so you can put them in your binder. I usually get them at Staples and pick the colors you like best. I was looking for a pink one, but they only had purples one so I decided to go with the purple one.
7.) Pencil Sharpener and Leads- My favorite pencil sharpener ever are the Staedtler graphite sharpeners. I've been using them for 3-4 years now and they works really well. I don't really know where you can find them, because my mom always bought them for me. For lead, I since I use no.5 pencils I got for the no.5 lead I use this really nice brand but I don't know what they are called the name faded away. But just find a really nice lead refills and you'll be fine.
8.) Books- I like the wire kind, because you can fold them and tear them out. They also comes with a lot of space and are really cheap.
9.) Dividers- I just usually go for any brand of dividers, I'm not really picky about that.
10.) Plastic Holders- I also buy 2 packs of plastic holders. If you don't know what they are they are just basically plastic holders that you can put papers in so they won't get wrinkle and you just place them in your 3-rings binder.
11.) Color Pencils- For color pencils I like Crayola and Prang brand. I just kind of switch between these two. I would say to buy them, because you might need them for projects. Which, I have projects every year and color pencils were a huge part of it. I like to the ones that comes with 12 because they have all of the basic colors and they're not big so it won't take up a lot of space.
12.) Glue Sticks- I like the Elmer's glues the best.

Optional:
1.) Calculators: If you already have a calculator than you don't need to buy it for this back to school. I didn't buy it because I already have one that I really like and it works really well. But if you don't already have one or want to get a new one I would recommend the Texas Instruments Graphic Calculator. They are my favorite type of calculators. Although, they are expensive but I think that if you invest in one of them they will last you forever. They are not any of your typical calculators, they have everything a regular calculators have but they help you with graphics and bigger math. I of course have the pink one, but if you don't like pink they have ones in navy, black, blue and silver.

I usually buy my school supplies at Staples, Target or Walmart. Because I have easy access to those 3 stores. They sells school items for a good price and they have school supplies.

What's In My Beach Bag?

I know that there is this little fun tag going around right now called the "What's In My Beach Bag?" That is why today I decided that I should do a blog post telling you guys what I take in my beach bag to the beach with me. I know that everyone says that fall is about to start, so everyone is forgetting about the beach. But summer is technically still with us and fall does not start until September 23rd. So I thought that it was still fine for me to do this tag post. But even if fall did start, who says we can't go to the beach? So the bag I use is the Emilio Pucci Large Tote in Moonshine/Bleu Pink that I received as a birthday present last year and you can I'm pretty sure you can still find this at Nordstrom for $550.00 without tax. It is expensive but I got it as a birthday present from my dad and I've used it since then to the beach. Now I'm not sure if it is suppose to be a beach bag or not, but I only use it when I go to the beach to put my things in. When I go to the beach I don't really like to bring another separate purse with me, so I kind of have everything that I need in this Emilio Pucci Large Tote. One thing that I would recommend is that if you are going to buy a beach bag try to to find something that is not too small that you can barely put things in, but not super huge either because than everyone is going to think you're a freak. So I think that this is purse is perfect for a beach bag it is not too small, but it is not too big either for a beach bag. But I am not saying that you need to go out to buy this bag, because I know that not everyone can afford it because I know I can't. I know there are many cheap beach bags out there like Victoria's Secret I know that many of my friends uses their beach bags and it works great and is also super cute. Or if you don't want a beach bag you can just use your regular bag that you use or just bring like a plastic bag, because I know that was what I use to do before I got this purse. So I never have had a beach bag, because a plastic bag works just as well. But if you want a beach bag go for it. Try to find a bag that is water safe, because you do not want your things to get all wet of course except for swimming clothes and plus you don't want your bag to get all wet and dirty that is just not attractive. Lets get right into it...

What's In My Emilio Pucci Large Tote?...

1.) My Wallet(of course): Because I have my money, cards, change, etc in here just in case I need it. Like if I was to buy anything at the beach or after, I have my moolah in hand.
2.) Sunscreens: I got the SHISEIDO Extra Smooth Sun Protection Lotion N SPF 38 PA++ because later on as I am on the beach I will need to reapply this and I've found out that out of all the sunscreen I've tried this is the only one that doesn't break my face out. You can use this also on the body, but it is $34 I only use it on my face. But for my body I use the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 100+ so this is super great for the beach when you are out in the sun and this is also really affordable it is only $11.49. I really wish that I could use it on my face, because I know that some people says that it doesn't break them out but I don't know why it make me break out. But it works great for my body.
3.) Chapstick/Lip Balm: For chapstick and lip balm I bring the Softlips Tinted Lip Balms SPF 15 in Pearl and Rose just because they both gave me a tint of color, moisturize my lips and protect them from the sun. It is just the best of both world and it just really easy to use to apply.
4.) Mini Toothbrushes: I don't know about you guys but I have to brush my teeth when I am at the beach. Since, I usually will be drinking and eating so I will just quickly run to the restroom will there are more privacy and a mirror to brush it. Still I don't want to be carrying around a toothbrush and a toothpaste, so I always bring the Colgate Wisp plus whitening in Cool Mint. Because this is my favorite out off all the 4-5 that they have and it also whiten my teeth so that a great thing. This Colgate Wisp is perfect for traveling and just going to the beach, because you don't have to be carrying a toothpaste and toothbrush with you and it is small so super portable.
5.) Beach Towel/Regular Towel: You can never forget to bring towels to the beach or else you will be doom. I usually brings a beach towel with me so that I can lay on it and a regular towel with me so I can use to dry myself if I am wet from the water.
6.) Waterproof Mascara: I always always bring a waterproof mascara with me, because I this is one of the 2 or 3 makeup item that I wear at, to and after the beach. The waterproof mascara that I like the best for this occasion is the Covergirl LashBlast Volume Waterproof Mascara in Very Black. Because I don't have to bring an eyelash curler with me and this does not go anywhere. It kind of give me a curl that an eyelash curler would.
7.) Concealer: I also brings a concealer with me, but I only wear when I am leaving the beach because I believe that concealer can smudge off even if it is waterproof. And one of my all time favorite concealer is the Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer, because it completely covers everything so I don't really need to bring any other type of makeup. It cover blemishes and under eyes circles and bags really well. If you guys want a cheaper drugstore dupe it is the Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer.
8.) Mirror: I also bring a mirror with me, but I don't know what type of mirror it is called. But you just kind of open it using the clasp and then there are two mirror. Mine is purple it is kind of like how Sephora gift card comes with a two mirrors if you know what I mean. Except, mine is round and it's lavender with some vintage detailing it's my mom so I don't really know where she got it from.
9.) Wide Tooth Comb: Always always bring a wide tooth comb with you, not a brush. Because your hair will get wet and tangle and you do not want a brush to do the job because it can break your hair so bad. So I recommend any type of comb, preferably a wide tooth one. I just use this Swissco Hand Made Brown One it works really well.
10.) Deodorant: Please please everyone bring a deodorant so than when you are about to come back home or go anywhere after the beach you won't smell. I am currently using the Suave 24 Hour protection powder Invisible Solid it works really well, but any deodorant is fine. Just find yourself a deodorant and use it, but make sure it is a good and your deodorant. You don't want and shouldn't share your deodorant, but I know I use to when I was little with my sisters. So I guess it is fine if it is your close family members.
11.) Cover ups: I also always brings a cover ups which is just basically clothes that you wear either on top of your bikini or after your wet clothes. I usually brings a tank top and a short, but this summer I brought crop tops with shorts and maxi dresses with me since they are in trend.
12.) Sunglasses: I would also suggest you to bring sunglasses, because the suns will be in your eye so bring any pair of sunglasses. My favorite sunglasses are by D&G and Ed Hardy.
13.) Pads: This product is really optional, because I don't bring it with me all the time. For us girls out there I really recommend bringing pads or tampons with you if you are on your period or you think or know you will get your period really soon. I only brings this when I am on my period or think that my cycle is about to come. I brings 2 at a time just so that I can have back ups of it, just in case I lost one or any of my friends or family need it. I never bring it just alone by it self I use pads holder http://www.shopglitzyglam.com  they are only around $12 so I recommend you guys getting one so that you can use it for school or just anywhere you are going. Sometime things from your bag might fell out and you don't want people to know that you have  a pad or tampon with you, so this is really great for that use.
14.) Phone and iPod: I'd suggest you bring your phone or iPod if you have one or even both if you have both. Because sometime you might get bored out of your mind at the beach so it is always great to have something to listen to. So I always bring my Blackberry and iPodtouch 4 it is great.
15.) Books/Magazines: I also sometime bring a book or a magazine with me to read. I like Seventeen Magazines because they are kind of light and easy, so they won't be hard for your mind. For a book I can't say what I bring, because I go through books like crazy so I don't really remember what was the last book that I brought to the beach with me. But I wouldn't say to go something dark like vampires, crime etc. Try going with something that is kind of a light read, so it can match the beachy feel you are in. But hey, if you like to read kind of dark books than go for it.
16.) Hand Cream: If you guys didn't know I have a right palm eczema. You can read all about it in my last 1-2 blog post ago, I just post it yesterday. So if you want to know more you can click on that, but I won't get into detail here. I sometime go to the beach while I have eczema or it suddenly appears, since it can because of the saltiness of the beach it can dried out my hand. So I always bring the Aveeno Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream that was recommended by my dermatologist with me, because I never know. But of course, you don't have to bring a hand cream if you don't suffer from eczema or dryness.
17.) Water: I lastly, always bring a bottle or two of plain regular water with me nothing special. I'd recommend this because you can get dehydrated while you are on the beach, so having this on hand is a huge advantage.

Now I would really like to know what you guys bring in your beach or pool bag. Don't forget to follow this blog and my twitter for a huge giveaway including books, gift cards and beauty related products.

My Guide to Your First 5 MAC Brushes/My Top 5 MAC Brushes

Many people think that it MAC brushes are too expensive. But you know what even if they are expensive they are totally worth it. I love all of the MAC brushes I have, I've had most of them for about 3-4 years and they are all are still in good conditions. You have to take good care of them. Wash them every every week, I'd suggest at least 1 time a week. Preferably, at night so than they can have time to dry so than you can use them the next day or morning if you are going to. So overall, I think that brushes are an investment you have to buy good quality brushes. They don't have to be expensive like MAC, just make sure that they are great quality. Although, today I will be doing my top 5 MAC brushes that I would recommend if you are getting into MAC brushes.

My Top 5 MAC Brushes:
1.) MAC 168 Large Angled Contour Brush- This brush retails for $34.00 it is just your basic versatile face brush. You can apply liquid, mousse, cream or powder foundation with this brush. You can also contour with this brush right under your cheekbone to have that thin slim face look. Or you can apply brush, highlighter and even bronzer in the E3 motion if you have kind of a small face. So super versatile, you can basically do any type of face makeup with this brush. It's really great if you are a starter or don't want to waist money buying other face brushes. You get it all in one with this 168 brush. It is also super soft so that's a big plus.
2.) MAC 217 Blending Brush- This retail in stores and counters for $22.50 this brush is also super versatile for eye brushes and you probably can even apply bronzer to the side of your nose with this brush to make your nose look smaller. But now lets get into what it really can do. It can apply cream shadows all over your lid and even primers all over your eye. It can apply crease colors and blend your shadows.
3.) MAC 224 Tapered Blending Brush- This brush is also another eye brushes, but you of course can use it for your face too and this retail for $30.00 without tax. Btw, all of the prizes that I am telling you guys are without tax just FYI. MAC 224 can apply highlighter to the top of your cheekbone. It can apply under eye concealer and any type of powder to set the under eye concealer. It can blend your shadows really well, apply a great transitional color and is really great to apply a highlight color to the top of your brow bone. And an all over shadow color.
4.) MAC 275 Medium Angle Brush- This brush retails for $24.50 at MAC. This 275 brush can apply color all over your lid and of course to the brow bone. It can do the outer v since it is slanted. It can also apply highlight to the brown bone and right on the top of your cheekbone. Lastly, it can do some blending, placing crease color and even some transitional color and highlight.
5.) MAC 266 Small Angle Brush- This brush is the bigger version of the 263 so they basically do the same thing except this is just bigger but not that big of a difference. This retails for $19.50 now I recommend you guys this brush because it can work for both your eyes and lips. This brush is great if you want to apply gel liners to your lower lash line, waterline and upper lash line. It is also great for shadows, because you can use it to apply shadows on your lower lash line and upper lash line. I think that you can even use it to apply gel liners to your tide line, which is basically just the upper waterline. One thing that it is great for is to apply lip colors. You can apply lipsticks with this brush and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars to your lips with this brush. But I would give the credit to xsparkage from YouTube where I learn this trick from.

Now my one advice for you if you are starting into MAC brushes or any brand of brushes is to get ones that are versatile aka multi usable. Because it will save you some money, little amount of money or huge money.

How I Help Heal my Eczema?

If you don't know what eczema is it is a type of skin inflammation of the human epidermis. Eczema can occur anywhere from your face, palm, hands, arms and many more body parts. And to anyone of any age groups, although it mostly occurs to babies and children. I have a eczema on my right palm since I was a little girl, maybe about 8 or 9 years old. It keeps getting worse until my mom take me to a dermatologist a few years back. Before I was being prescribe any type of medication, lotions or creams my mom would always told me to use Vaseline all over the eczema to help it moisturize and told me to stay away from dish soaps. I did all of that it did help the eczema, but it did not help it go away completely until I met two amazing products. So I will be sharing with you guys what I use to help heal and get rid of my eczema hand. Now it doesn't make it disappear completely, it will occasionally come back especially during the colder months. My palm would be really dry, itches and gets really red until I use the lotion or the cream that was prescribe by my dermatologist. So I would recommend any of you that have eczema to go to a dermatologist to get help. Because these products might works for me, but it might not work for you so your dermatologist knows best. Oh, and also I almost forgot my little sister also have eczema in the crutch of her arm and behind her knees. But my mom brought her to her doctor and the doctor prescribe her a different type of medication. I don't know what it is, but I think it was some type of ointment and it seems to help her eczema really well. Anyway, I use two type of products to help get rid of my right palm eczema. But I don't use the two of these at the same time, I switch them out depend on what time of the day it is

Products I Use for my Eczema:
1.) Aveeno Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream- This was around $11-12 so not that expensive, but not that cheap either. You can order this off of http://www.drugstore.com or get it at CVS/Pharmacy where I got mine. I usually use this cream during the day time or when I have to do things, because it is not greasy at all unlike the next product I will be sharing with you guys. This is also really great if you have sensitive skin.
2.) CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion- You can get this CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion at http://www.drugstore.com
for $12.99 but I of course got it at CVS/Pharmacy because I got it the same time as the Aveeno Cream. One thing I hate about this though is that it is really greasy, but it works great so I wouldn't mind. But I would say to use it during bedtime, when you are about to go to sleep since you won't be doing anything.

So if you have eczema I would say to use the Aveeno during day time, but of course you can still use it at night. But to use the CeraVe during the night and not so much during the day time, since it is greasy. Out of the two of this I like them both the same, they both work really well. Although, if I was to recommend one I would say to just pick up the Aveeno one it is cheaper and two it is not greasy as the CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion. Once again, I would still recommend to go to a dermatologist or your doctor because they knows best not me. This products works really great for me, but it might not be work so great for you even if it is for eczema and you have eczema if you know what I mean.

So other than that I'll talk to you guys later in my next blog and on twitter, but don't forget to follow my blog if you like my posts. I will be doing more and follow my twitter to help me get to 300 subscribers, so than I will be doing a pretty big everything giveaway from books to beauty products and many more. Peace Out for Now!

What I Keep in my Everyday Makeup Bag?

Hey, guys as you all know schools are starting soon for most of us, including me which start on the 15th of August. So that is really exciting for me, because I will be starting my first year of college. Yep, that's right I'm going to be a freshman in college. Anyway, since schools are starting soon, us girls and women will need to pack our makeup for touch ups. And this is not just what I bring to school with me, this is what I bring with me when I am going to church, going out, amusement/theme parks etc. These are products that I bring with me and what I suggest you to bring with you, but it is all personal preference. One of my favorite makeup bag is the Vera Bradley Small Cosmetic in Symphony in Hue which I use the most out of all the makeup bags I have. Because it is not too big which is a good thing so than you won't over pack unnecessary items, but it is not too small that you can't fit anything in. I specifically like this one because it is nice portable size to carry around with. You can get it for $22 at http://tinyurl.com/3vykrvs

Here is what I bring with me in my Everyday Makeup Bag:

1.) Oil Absorbing Sheets- I use the Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets, because it is affordable and it works great for me.
2.) Setting Powder- I also brings my setting powder with me to touch up after I have blot the oil away with my oil absorbing sheet. I really like the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural.
3.) Lip Products- I also bring any type of lip products that I am wearing that day, which always changes. But today I wore MAC Subculture Lip Liner, MAC Kind of Sexy Lipstick and MAC Golden Soft Lip Gelee which I kept in my makeup bag today.
4.) Chapstick or Lip Balm- I always have an SPF chapstick or lip balm with me just in case my lips are feeling dry I can apply it. Today I happen to have the C.O Bigelow SPF 15 Mentha Lip Balm Stick (No Shine Formula) in my makeup bag and you can get this at your local Bath & Body Works for $7.50 without tax.
5.) Blush(es)- I always keep a blush that I am wearing that day, because blushes tend to fade away no matter what during the day. Today, I kept MAC Blush in Improvise.
6.) Setting Spray- I would suggest to bring along with you any type of makeup setting spray, because it will help sets your makeup when you touch it up and make it look less cakey or powdery if you do use powder to touch up. I personally really like the Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Finish Setting Spray, because I have oily skin. Don't worry they have them specifically made for different skin types, so you can sure to find one that fit you the best. But I only bring the travel size one which is 2 oz for $19. You might be saying I'm not going to pay that much just for a setting spray. But it worth the investment, you will not regret buying it. Although, if you still can't adjust to spending $19 on this spray you can try the ELF one. I hear many good reviews about it, so I'm guessing it will works just as well.

That is all I bring with me in my everyday makeup bag. Only 6 simple things super travelable if that is even a word, I don't know. So tell me down below what you bring with you in your everyday makeup bag!

How To: Spice Up Your School Uniforms

I remember that jewelries and accessories were a part of my thing when I was in junior high and my first two years of high school before I was home school. Unlike, most people my school was very strict about the uniform. Every Monday, morning the principle would broadcast on the school television rambling about the uniform policy. Our uniform were white polo shirt and khaki bottoms or skirts. So I didn't really have the chance to stay on top of the fashion, but what I did stay on top of was jewelries and accessories.

I remembered that every night I would go to my jewelries and accessories collection to pick what I was going to wear the next day. Because to add and spice things up to the old boring uniforms. I would wear rings, necklaces, bracelets, headbands, belts and clips as a way to make the uniform not so boring looking. It basically, was the only way to accessorize my uniform without going over the top.

Although, I would say to stay away from big jewelries and accessories detailing. Stick to the small and simple jewelries and accessories. But not too small that people don't notice it. Because that will just ruin the whole point. We are trying to spice up our school uniforms with things like this.
