Leighton Meester The Metropolitan Night Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Last, night I came across pictures of Leighton Meester when she was at the opening night for The Metropolitan Opera and I totally fell in love with the makeup she have on. I think that it is very classy and elegant, but is still in trend. So what I've been thinking is that I will be starting a little series where I will be doing and explaining you guys step on how to achieve the inspired picture. This will be the start off and first post for the series.

Eyes:
1.) Start off by apply your favorite eyeshadow primer. Mine would have to be Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
2.) For the lid Leighton have on a light pinkish champagne color on. So to achieve that look apply a light hand of MAC Da Bling eyeshadow and go on top of that with MAC Naked Lunch eyeshadow.
3.) The crease she have on a medium brown eyeshadow color on. Apply MAC Patina eyeshadow into the crease with a crease brush and than just use whatever is left on the brush blending Patina up as a light transitional color.
4.) As for the outer corner just get a little bit more of Patina eyeshadow and kind of build the color up to really nice dark brown and just apply it in a v motion. So apply it in the outer corner and just a little bit into the crease.
5.) For the brow bone Leighton have on kind of an off white eyeshadow color so take MAC Phloof! eyeshadow and pop that on the brow bone and inner corner as a highlight.
6.) Lower lash line Leighton have on kind of a pinkish golden shadow color on just right on the lower lash line. So mix MAC Naked Lunch eyeshadow with Ricepaper eyeshadow and focus that on the inner one third of the lash line and than kind of fade it into the waterline as you bringing out the eyeshadow. And that is it for the shadows.
7.) For the liners she has on a really nice thick line of black eyeliner and bold lashes flared out in the outer part of her lashes. So take any black liquid or gel liner and start a really thin line in the inner corner and make it thicker as you go out to the outer corner. To have those full flared lashes apply 2-3 coat of Maybelline Volum' Express Flared Mascara and focusing on flaring it out on the outer lashes. This will also give you the illusion of bigger eyes. Also, don't forget to line your upper waterline with a black pencil eyeliner.

Cheeks:
1.) For the cheeks, Leighton Meester have on a really nice pinkish peach coral orangey blush mainly on the apple of her cheeks and it gets lighter as it is faded out to her temple. MAC powder blush in Stunner is perfect for this look.

Lips:
1.) Now the big statement of this look are those bright orangey coral red lips. To achieve the lip color apply a MAC lipstick in Hibiscus. Although, I know that this lipstick is limited edition it came out about 4 months ago from the MAC Surf Baby collection so if you don't have that don't worry. A great substitute for it is MAC lipstick in Lady Danger, it is a permanent color in their collection so you can get it in anytime your want. No hurry.

If you want me to do any inspired makeup tutorial blog post on a picture you've found across the internet feel free to tweet me the link and I'll try to get it up for you.
